Standard Psychic Poison Rats

This is a deck I play on TCGO. I recently built it in the last month and have been doing pretty good. A lot of changes have been made but I would like some constructive feedback. Thankyou!

Strategy: So basically I use Ariados to poison with its ability from the bench, and then Raticate break to finish the job with 1 shot with super fang. I also have a gengar line and some psychic energy because when I find myself against things other than grass i can still poison and also use Gengars attack creep show.

Side notes: I have shuffled puzzle of time, and other trainers around to try them this just seems to be the best personally so far. Also I know I should have RS Shaymin EX but unfortunately I am broke.

Let me know what ya'll think!

I see what you are saying with Gengar. I want to be able to have something else in this to work against and around things like bent spoon and when my opponent has grass type pokemon rendering my Ariados useless. Would something else work better for that? i would take a little more of that out if I had a shaymin or octillery to put in it.

Ah, how people love to try a and build creep show.

Raticate/Ariados is super cool, but Gengar is pretty pointless. When you build decks, try and crack down on a certain combo. You already have Raticate killing everything, why dilute that? Also, try and use some sort of draw pokemon, be it Octillery or Shaymin. Your trainers are a little odd too. Let me give this a try.

-All the Gengar stuff -5 Cards
-Bursting balloon -2 Cards
-2 N -2 Cards
-2 wally -2 Cards
-2 Winona -2 Cards

+2 Professor Sycamore

I'm trying to Maximize consistency here, giving Raticate the spotlight and getting Ariados out as soon as possible. Is this the deck you're going to use this season?

if you want to use something useful for taking out multiple Pokemon in this deck I`d recommend using Raticate Break to drop one guy to 10 HP then swap out with Pokemon catcher/lysandre and use bats to snipe benched Pokemon also if you add the Remoraid/Octillery draw I`d recommend using level ball as it gets you out what you need when you need it.

I`d remove
-1 Gengar
-2 Haunter
-2 Gastly
-1 Spinarak
-1 Rattata
-1 Raticate
-1 Raticate Break
-2 Bursting Ballon
-1 Parralel City
-2 Winona
-1 Wally
-2 N
-1 VS Seeker
-1 Psychic Energy
for
+3 Zubat
+3 Golbat
+2 Sycamore
+2 Team Flare Grunt
+2 Trainer`s Mail
+4 Pokemon Catcher
+1 Switch
+2 Level Ball

I also played this deck recently i ran into so much trouble with it as Raticate took to long to get out and because it was so frail it died almost instantly. I can`t remember the deck list entirely but this should hopefully help you as much as it helped me. :)

I'm currently theorising on a Dark Raticate deck, as the Super Fang + Umbreon EX's Endgame combo seems like amazing fun going into a season where Mega EX decks look to be pretty prevalent. This also opens up the options for including Zoroark and non-EX Yveltals for some versatility. I'm also considering popping in Ariados just in case and maybe even a 1-1 of Vespiquen because the use of Forest of Giant Plants and a high count of Pokémon could lead to some devastating late game blows. As you can imagine, this is leading to some serious issues in whittling down to a 60 card list, but just a thought if you're planning a Raticate BREAK deck.

Getting back to the question at hand, I too feel that Gengar does not work with Raticate BREAK, as the beauty of Creep Show is cheap and quick KOs on anyone, and Raticate is just too much hard work as well as waaaaay more damage than you could possibly need. Although, in saying that... in the absence of AZ / Super Scoop maybe Super Fang on some high HP opponent plus Roaring Skies Absol plus Gengar could be fun, if you're basically just sorting damage counters to line up KOs in the future. (Sounds fun, but is probably wildly impractical.)

Pointless ramble over.

About Bent Spoon, the Rattata in the upcoming XY12 set has an ability that when played from the Bench discards a Pokemon Tool from the opponent's Active Pokemon. It's really convenient, actually, and has 10 more HP than Rattata from Breakpoint. I'd ditch the BKP Rattatas the second they become legal if I were you. ;)

I saw this deck in action a while back, now that rotation happened I built it online to give it a spin and I think I'm in love. I couldn't get a 4th Raticate BREAK so I improvised with some other attackers. This was my first version to test it out. I'd probably cut the Yanmega line to add the 4th of all the Raticate line and that would free up 6 extra slots for more trainers (like that Special Charge I think it's called that shuffles special energy back in your deck).
