When using these, do you still have to discard a card from your hand if you choose something like Holon Mentor to copy? I remember reading that if you have 7+ cards in your hand, you couldn't copy Steven's Advice, so I was wondering if it was true for Holon Supporters as well.

I think it is..Since the cards did say "Copy the effect of the supporter card" and discarding are still effects..

No, you just go on doing the same thing as the Holon Supporters ask you to, which will be discard a card from your hand, if you cant discard a card from your hand, you cant play this card. But, for the Steven's Advice, it is a must to have -7 Cards in your hands.

You still must do everything the card says and satisfy all the normal requirements and prerequisites for playing it.
