PTCGO codes change

Somewhere ( I can't remember where) I read that Code Cards for TCGO will not offer booster credits anymore, instead the code will just unlock a pack from the same set as you got the code card in. This is said to take effect with in the next year.

Something me and my buddy were talking about is what would people rather have
1. Credits (way it is now)
2. Same set packs (You buy BC, you get a BC pack online. No choosing packs)
Or would it be cool if,
3. Your code unlocked the exact same pack with the exact ten cards as the pack that you bought.

I get such great pulls irl, but terrible pulls online so I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to the third option but I wanted to see what you guys thought

If you got exactly what you pulled, it wouldn't be safe to buy codes online anymore because you could buy them and always get bad cards with filler rares. If they unlocked the pack you got them from you could pay because you found a bunch of old codes from EP and be forced to get packs from EP

Second option is what I secretly hope, although it'll be bad for the COL- HGSS packs...

The 2nd option is what they said their changing it to on gym. I think 3 would be cool since I buy so many packs I don't need to buy codes, but I know what you mean it would screw over other people.

I see no reason why this is a good change, it just gives you less options with your pack. I also don't really see why this benefits Pokemon, the only reason I can think of is to make people buy more Emerging Powers packs for codes for a chance to get Catchers online, but I assume anyone who wants Emerging Powers packs for Catchers online, even though they have them in real life would just buy Emerging Powers codes on eBay or T&T or something.

This would also probably slightly decrease the sales of worse sets because now you can't use the codes to get packs from better sets. Probably a really small amount, like 1 or 2 boxes, but that's still 1 or 2 boxes sitting in there warehouse.
