Purchasing in the United Kingdom?

Hey there!

I have recently got back into the TCG after about 10 years or so. I never really played it properly, but I can at least remember being able to get ahold of single cards before in the UK. Now that I have gotten into it properly (and the internet is in full swing) I have been unable to find any sites online that sell single cards and/or booster boxes in England/UK. I would buy from a site outside of the UK but I don't really want to pay a hefty shipping fee.

If anyone could provide some decent sites that would be very much obliged!

Hey welcome back to the game! It all depends what part of the UK you are as some hobbie shops do booster box openings and sell the cards near where I live! where about's do you live in the UK? also some leauges sell the cards idividualy
 
Well I also live in the UK. I am a competitive player and I get my cards from either ebay (Cheapest place and what you want will always be there) or my local league. I prefer my league as he sells the cards VERY cheap compared to normal retail.

In regards to where I live in the UK, PokePain, I'm about 30 minutes outside of central London (by train).

And to kashmaster, is eBay a trustworthy site? I haven't bought from there before so I am clueless with that kind of thing. Also, is it all bidding or can you buy the cards outright?

Well Im also a Londoner xD. Why dont you pop over to the North London league on seven sisters road in holloway, it is near arsenal's emirate stadium if that helps. That is where I go and it is pretty friendly and we do draughts which end up like 10 quid for 5 booster packs which is pretty damn right awesome :D.

Ebay I say is pretty trustworthy. You see some stuff which you can 'buy it now' others you have to bid but bidding obviously gives you the opportunity to win cheap cards.
 
Is that the league near to Finsbury Park station? If so, I am going there for the HGSS Undaunted pre-release on August 14 :D
From the things you listed previously kashmaster the league sounds great for someone starting (like me!) and if my experience there is solid I will have to come regularly.
 
Yup that is correct. It is usually at homerton but I guess they changed it for this pre-release. I cant wait to see you there :D. You should make a lot of friends. Hopefully Il know who you are xD.

I've bought from Crimson Cards about two or three times now. It's very reliable and the prices are at least reasonable. The only flaw is that the stock is rarely updated so it's hard to get hold of the most sought after cards.

I've managed to buy things like PokéTurn for as little as 50p though :D My Donphan Prime was £8, but I was more than happy to pay that as the other I bought at my League was £10. They've had the likes of Luxray Lv.X and Flygon Lv.X for £12 - that Luxray could easily go for way over £40 in England. But I doubt they'd get that stocked any more. It seems like they've given up on buying any older sets now. But it could be a good idea to raid the site as soon as Undaunted comes out, if there's anything you want from that set as I'm sure they'd have some good deals and you'll be able to get them while stocks last.

They still have things like Rare Candy in stock for £2.99, Super Scoop Up for 50p etc.
