HI everyone:)

I have been playing around with idea building a deck roundg Turtonator gx, instead of just using him as a tech in Volcanion and it has been working quite well! He is able to hit for the magic numbers with a choice band (190/210 with kuikui), however the water weakness is not great considering the number of Lapras and Ninetales decks out there. I would appreciate any suggestions to the list :)

****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ******

* 4 VS Seeker PHF 109
* 1 Field Blower GRI 125

##Energy - 12

* 4 Burning Energy BKT 151
* 8 Fire Energy 2

So basically, the strategy is to discard as many fire energy as possible on your first turn and use the GX attack to fuel as many turtles as possible and maybe a Lele. Therefore, you might want to go second so that you can attack your first turn. From there you keep hitting for 160/190 until you win the game, since buring energy will not be discarded with Turtonator's attack. Turtonator's first attack ca also help you out sometimes as it can create some awkward moments for your opponent.
Let me know what you think! :)

Nice deck and strategy. My deck version utilizes an opponent's energy denial strategy which works well too, especially against W decks.

Given your stated strategy, I suspect you try to use Nitro Tank by either T1 or T2. With only 8 R energy, are you able to get 5 R energy into your discard pile consistently (i.e., 90%+ of the time) by then? Are 8 R energy sufficient (I believe you can't Nitro Tank any discarded Burning energy)?

To negate your R Pokémon Weakness (yes, there are a lot of W decks being played now), you could run Altar of the Sunne; however, in the long run, this Stadium or even Weakness Policy may make little/no difference given that many players run Field Blower(s).

Further, with the use of Field Blower (most players I know run at least 2 - Tools wars are now here) being so prevalent, why not run an Eco Arm to recover and recycle your high valued Tools which will be targeted by opponents?

Following are some other comments for your consideration:

+1 Eco Arm - to recover and recycle your discarded Tools

+1 Mallow - to search and get (via Scorched Earth) any 2 needed cards

+1 Parallel City - to help you disrupt your opponent's bench or help you remove any unwanted/unneeded Pokémon from your bench

+1 Special Charge - helps recover and recycle your discarded Special energy or Bunnelby (PRC 121) which can serve multiple purposes

+1 Volcanion - to help provide some energy attachement acceleration in case you need to power-up your Pokémon manually, as well as recover discarded R energy

With the above suggested additions, consider the following as suggested deductions:

-1 Choice Band - 2 should be sufficient, IMO, especially if Eco Arm is added

-1 Float Stone - 1 should be sufficient, IMO, especially if Eco Arm is added

-1 Enhanced Hammer - situational and not critical, IMO

-1 Scorched Earth - 3 should be sufficient, IMO

-1 Skyla - (Mallow + Scorched Earth are more efficient)
I hope you find these comments helpful.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Yeah, I played the energy denial version first but I thought I would focus more on getting an early 190 damage.

The Mallow combo is definately something I will add to the deck. I have been trying out a baby volcanion but i have mixed feelings on what seventh prize attacker is best. I needs some more testing:) and yeah, it needed another r energy as well;)

It is interesting what you say about eco arm. However, why dont we see more players playong the card?
