Ruling Question about Alakazam (Base Set)

RE: Question\about Alakazam (Base Set)

No. I was actually cheated by this card when I was just starting to play (base champ/zard/flareon deck ftw). lol, with wailord ex, it would be broken.

RE: Question\about Alakazam (Base Set)

Yea. I didn't know how to play back then (well, not exactly, but how the card worked), so he removed all the damage my machamp did and put it back on (I "cheated" as well by using strike back). I still won the game though, even though his brother was saying he could do it and I thought he couldn't (zams power).

Nope. The card specifically says to move damage counters from one of your Pokemon to another one of your Pokemon if it doesn't knock them out. He makes an awesome combo with Rocket's Mewtwo ex though...and Chansey. Can't forget the Chansey.

I ran this deck for a little bit. It wasn't the greatest, but it worked out pretty well if you used lots of Rocket's Sneak Attack and Trap cards. Fun disruption deck, it was.

with Rocket's Mewtwo ex!? You need a coin flip to switch the counters, or you'll be killed with an attack that does 10 damage! IMO, it works with anything that relies on damage to build up attacks, like Golem LM or Blastoise CG. Then attach some berries for it to heal it after attacking.

As for the question, as said above, no, you can't move damage counters to your opponent's Poke. (One that can do so is Gengar Fossil, but only once per turn for each of your Gengars.)

i rather stick to the stall deck made for alakazam wif chansey's and scoop up and pokemon centre

Rockets Mewtwo EX, Alakazam, are a good combo, i used it, If your benched pokemon have damage counters, use Alakazam's effect put all of the Damage counters on Mewtwo until he has low HP (20 to 30), then use Darkness switch, and switch the damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon, just make sure your opponent has atleast 50 to 70 HP.

Well, I use Scizor-ex, Alakazam and Wailord-ex to stall my opponent's. Scizor takes the reduced damage after Metal Energy and Steel Wing, Swap to Wailord-ex and Pokemon Nurse FTW! I love that combo, won me 10 tournaments in a row.

I used Mr. Mime for damage control. It was a slight stall deck, but unless they afflicted you with a status condition (which shouldn't happen because back then Full Heals and Switches were essential in these decks) they couldn't KO you in one shot. Then you moved the damage to Chansey and either A) laid down a R. Mewtwo ex and switched the damage to him, brought him out and gave the damage away or B) used a Scoop Up! on Chansey and laid it back down. Scizor's a good idea too though. Never thought to use him, but now that you mention it, it makes lots of sense, lol.
