Question about mewtwo lv.X

Okay, so I'm planning on taking an sp deck to worlds, but I was really worried about mewtwo lv.X. My question is can mewtwo be affected by a "pokepower" of a basic pokemon? (like flashbite, or poison structure) because his pokebody says that he's not affected by a basic's "attack" so can you please enlighten me? thanks.

It can be affected by poison structure and flash bite, but smart players will play the healing mewtwo making it harder to KO. You can tech in a dialga G X or a ninetails MT.

Of all the mewtwo I've seen played, I don't think I've ever seen someone burn a turn to heal. They are usually desperate to get energy on him.

Technically, you could keep it alive infanatly because you could use the Energy Recover move and attach in one turn, then next turn use the 120 damage attack, then attach and heal. Poison structure would do 6 damage by the end of that and that is exactly how much is recovered. Qwa qwa.
