Well looking at Legends Awaken, I found taht the new Jirachi card seems to be kind of unfair, before i invested my time in abusing such an imense power ... I just wanted to have this clarrified . I'm preety sure the new Jirachi is legal in all tournaments , but i just wanted that clarrified.. so my question basically is, Is the new Jirachi legal in terms of all tournaments for pokemon. Thanks!

Yes , when ever a card is printed from a new set , it becomes touranment-legal , no matter what.
So I hope that helps.

A set is automatically tournament-legal upon its release in your region. This is typically the Wednesday after the last pre-release weekend in North America.

It's legal. It's also a lot less broken then you might think. It searches for any card, true, but it's only one card- and that one card takes away from your draw the next turn. It's a great card, yes, just not overpowered.

And in case you were wondering, Doom Desire loses its effect if the opponent's Pokemon is benched. It's an effect on the Defending Pokemon, so naturally, it goes away when said Pokemon is benched.

I think most people would be playing it for the draw attack, not Doom desire.

It should also be played with Amulet coin so you do not lose next turn's draw.

NO! No amulet coin (God, I sound like AC now)!!

Amulet coin on a regualr deck has the same effect as Jirachi with an amulet coin. You're just drawing another useless card. Jirachi is just there to ensure you draw the right card.

Ok, the point behind Amulet Coin with Jirachi is good, you don't get it. Jirachi puts it on top of your deck, then you draw that card with Amulet Coin. So its like putting that card right into your hand, then you get a random topdeck that could still help you. So you are still getting the card you need, and you get another card next turn for your draw.

kk thanks for helping out ... i just was unsure thats all, cause it did seem kind of cheap to me to give a one hit KO to a basic but ok ... all's fair in love and war

It's not that Amulet Coin + Jirachi is terrible, just that it's completely unnecessary. It wastes Jirachi's search for the turn to find it (unless you run 4 to get it in your starting hand), and only gets you a random topdeck (and do you really want to rely on a random topdeck?).

Jirachi only kills stupid opponents. :|

Assuming you run Claydol, you'd draw that "random topdeck that could still help you" anyways. And since you can only draw up to 6 with Claydol, the topdeck doesn't ADD to that. You'd still end up with the same cards after the use of Cosmic Power regard;ess of how many cards were in your hand before you used it.

Jirachi + Steelix Stormfront. :D

I'd only use Jirachi if they can't retreat next turn. Although there is always warp point. Use it in moderation. Its One Wish effect is good for set up decks like magnezone

And then there's TGW, which can cause your attack to be completely wasted. There's one of the key reasons that this card is not broken.
