Ruling Question..

Scenario:

I have Pidgeot d on my bench with a Holon Energy GL, preventing my opponents non-delta pokemon to use pokepowers. And let's just say I have.. idk.. a skitty as my active.

If my opponent uses Smeargle with trace, and succeeds in copying Pidgeots attack, can he make my Pidgeot discard the Holon Energy?

No. Pidgeot's attack is self-referencing. When another Pokemon copies an attack, all its self-references are updated appropriately. So Smeargle would need to discard an Energy card from itself (if so desired).
