To any professor out there, could you please help me with this scenario?
In this scenario, I have three pokemon in play: Jolteon AO 26, Golurk AO 35 and an Electrode Ev 40. Because of Jolteon's ability "Electric Effect", my Golurk is considered an electric type pokemon and I am able to use Electrode's "Buzzap Thunder" ability. However, during my opponent's turn they use Hex Maniac, thus shutting of Jolteon's ability for the remainder of their turn and my turn.
That being said, would Electrode (currently attached to Golurk) be discarded from Golurk, or would he remain on Golurk but fail to provide the two electric energy until the effect of Hex Maniac wears off? Nowhere on the card does it say that it is discarded from the pokemon, if the pokemon is not an electric type, as certain regular special energy do. I'm just wanting to make sure that I'm understanding the text correctly.
