Ruling Questions about Greninja XY24 Ability

1. If I use this ability on my turn, and on my opponent's next turn they play something that cancels other abilities such as Garbodor, does the effect still happen?

2. If Greninja is switched out of the active position, does he still have the ability? What about if I evolve on the bench then switch him to the active?

1. Garbotoxin reads that each Pokemon has no Abilities, so even if you used the Ability on your turn and then on your opponent's turn, your opponent triggers Garbotoxin, Greninja would not have the Ability, so it wouldn't be preventing any damage.

2. Greninja doesn't say anything about it having to be the Active Pokemon. It just says prevent all effects of attacks done to "this Pokemon". It reads very similar to Safeguard Suicune, which prevents damage from EX's even if it's on the Bench or if it retreats to the Bench, etc. etc.
