Ruling Questions on Dunsparce(Strike & Run)~!

does Dunsparce(SS) strike and run work even when the bench is full, to use the switch ability? cos it tell us to search for up to 3 basic pokemons can we search none and juz switch?

Q. If you have a full bench can you "Strike and Run" for 0 basics, shuffle your deck, then switch with a benched Pokémon?
A. No. You must be able to have room on your bench in order to do any part of the "Strike and Run" attack. (Sep 9, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

no you cant, cuz dunsparce's strike and run says

you may search your deck for up to 3 basic pokemon
only after that, may u switch it with the bench.
