If I put a pokemon to sleep, let's say using Wigglytuff (GE), and I bring out Darkrai Lv. X and use Endless Darkness, would the rest of the effects still go through? Meaning will my opponent still have to flip 2 heads to wake up? I'm guessing yes, but just making sure.

yes since darkrais endless darkness sleep would replace the wigglytuffs sleep.

gendai said it: new sleep replaces old sleep.

The reverse is also true: if you used Endless Darkness, then brought up Wigglytuff and put the opponent's Pokemon to sleep again, he stops flipping two coins. Wigglytuff replaces Darkrai's enhanced sleep effect with normal sleep.

Wait, wait. I was gonna ask this in a separate thread, but as long as you brought it up...

You said he stops flipping two coins if he's hit by Wigglytuff sleep, meaning he's already flipped twice for the initial attack. So if I get hit with Endless Darkness, do I continuously flip 2 coins until I wake up or manually remove sleep (evolution, Double Full Heal lol, etc.)? And if so, does that mean that I still kill myself on double tails?

Yep. The additional effect of Endless Darkness is attached to the Asleep condition itself. It stays on your Pokemon (like any other effect) until the Asleep condition it's attached to gets removed or replaced.

The concept is illustrated in this ruling (for Poison, but it applies to all Special Conditions that can be changed like this):

Q. If an opponent already has Nidoking's Toxic double-poison, then next turn I use a "normal-poison" attack, does the opponent retain Toxic's double-poison condition or does it now become a single-poison condition?
A. It would gain a single poison effect (the new effect replaces the old one). (April 27, 2000 WotC Chat Q19)

Ah yeah, Toxic does work in the same way. All right, that makes sense... Darkrai LV.X is a monster. :D

everyone saw this plan on go-pokemon lol
even my future deck is going to be darkrai with wigglytuff tech
