Standard Raichu GX Build

Pokeprinxe

I HAVE A CUBONE TATTOOED ON MY FACE.

I built this based on the Darkrai / Dragonair deck that came out a while ago. It's just for fun, I suppose. I'm sure it wouldn't see any competitive play, but let me know what you guys think! Any suggestions?

16 Pokemon

2 Tapu Lele GX
3 Pikachu (EVO)
3 Raichu GX
3 Dratini
2 Dragonaire
2 Tapu Koko GX
1 Jolteon EX

25 Trainers

3 Nest Ball
4 Professor's Letter
4 Ultra Ball
3 Aether Paradise
4 Guzma
3 N
4 Sycamore

19 Energy

19 Electric

Electric doesn't need to mess around with Dragonair, Magnezone-BKT is staying with us

19 energy is far too much, you should never need to run more than 14 in a deck other than Typhlosion BKT. Running that many basic energy cards will clog your hand.

On your trainers, 4 Guzma is too much for a deck that's not built around needing to switch like metagross, golisopod, volcanion, lapras, ect. You don't really need a lot of nest balls since you will want to bench Lele and Koko from hand and have enough Pikas that you can get 1-2 of them pretty consistently from opening supporters.

Aether paradise doesn't benefit Raichu. No field blowers and no choice bands is generally a mistake. Fisherman is a great card in a deck with Magnezone because it lets you recover lost energy quickly. Clemont is also good, seldom talked about option because it's like a double professor's letter, letting you pull 4 energy from your deck.

I'm also a big advocate of random receiver in every deck post rotation so that's something to consider. IMO

-7 energy
-3 dratini
-2 dragonaire
-2 Guzma
-3 APCA
-3 Nest Ball

+2 Magnemite
+1 Magneton
+2 Magnezone
+3 Rare Candy
+1 Skyla
+1 Clemont
+1 Fisherman
+3 Choice Band
+2 Field Blower
+4 Random Receiver

I wanted to play Raichu GX as well, and I DO think it will see competitive play, just not with Dragonair. The rotation hasn't happened yet, and there are no current deck lists to analyze, so I kind of threw this together myself:
