It provides add types of energy required for costs. All energies listed there are colourless unless stated, and thus do not have any significance in terms of rainbow-type energies.
so u mean they can`t be turned into those special energies mentioned in the first thread?
They turn to the elements of energies, not the types of energies.
ok so they can only turn into basic energies and energies such as darkness and metal right? so they cant turn into those energies mentioned in the first thread right?
If it hasn't got a unique type, it won't happen. THere's a name that isn't Special Energy, but can't think of it yet.
Rainbow energy and holon pokemon ONLY provide types of energy; they don't provide the effect. For example, rainbow provides darkness energy, but it doesn't have the +10 effect, same goes with heal energy, too.
(Unless the card itself stated. Darkness energy card provides +10 damage because the card itself says so and goes same with scramble energy.)

so it can be turned into any energy but cannot activate the energy efffect e.g holon energies effect is that right?
you can become an energy type just without the special effect, just 1 basic energy of the now 8 basic energy types. plain and simple

Rainbow Energy provides [W], [R], [L], [G], [P], [F], [D], [M] or [C]. It can provide a Colorless Energy, but can't provide a Heal Energy.
