Ruling Rainbow Energy Questions

Hey everybody I got a question with rainbow energy could you not turn it into a double colorless so that if you used tangrowths grind you could hit for double cause rainbow does say it acts as every type of energy at the same time.
Also with ampharos' conductivity would it not hit for every type of energy witch to my count would be somwhere around 16 because it acts as both grass and psychic for roserade.
And if you answer me please don't just say yes or no give me a reason

Rainbow energy says on the card that it only provides 1 energy at a time. Sure it can provide a colorless energy, but not double colorless because that would be providing 2 energies at the same time.
As for Ampharos, its body says whenever your opponent attaches an energy card. So it doesn't matter if its rainbow, double colorless, or even a scramble energy; its still only 1 card, so only one damage counter. Also even if it did just say energy, rainbow only provides 1 at a time, so it would still be just 1 damage counter.

The reason it works like that with Roserade is because it just checks to see what the energy that got attached provides, which both grass and psychic (along with every other type). It doesn't matter that it was the same energy providing both of those.

Someone told me once to think of rainbow energy like a scoop of rainbow sherbet. It's a bunch of colors at the same time, but still only 1 scoop.

Also please provide card scans in the future.

"Double Colorless Energy" is not a type of Energy. It is an Energy card. {C} is a type.

And with Rainbow, you do not 'change its type'; it is simultaneously every type at once. Spidy put a good analogy; a Rainbow Energy is 9 colors but still only 1 Energy.
