Ruling Rainbow Energy with Goodra?

So, in my escapades for making a decent Forbidden Light Goodra deck, I have come up with a scenario that is good for the deck, it might not be legal.
The text for Rainbow Energy's damage requirement reads:
When you attach this card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on that Pokémon.
The text for Goodra's Hydration ability reads:
Whenever you attach a [W] Energy from your hand to this Pokemon, heal 20 damage from this Pokemon.

So, my "strategy" is to attach a Rainbow energy to Goodra to damage it, then instantly heal it because it's technically a [W] energy.
Is this legal?

I'm going to say no, as it is not a [W] energy when it is in your hand, but rather, a [C] energy.
Notice the card text: :"Whenever you attach a [W] Energy from your hand to this Pokemon"

Essentially, you need to answer the question, "When did you have a [W] energy in your hand"? - You only had a [C] energy, but it became [W] energy after it was attached.

For the same reason, attaching a splash energy shouldn't work either. It's the same concept as how Bronzong cannot use Metal Links on a shield energy in the discard pile.

Don't take my absolute word for it - there will likely be a ruling that clarifies this.

Actually, I did find a ruling that can shed some light on the subject
Here's a ruling from HGSS Unleashed Roserade:

Energy Signal (Roserade - Unleashed)
Q. What happens if I attach a Rainbow Energy to Roserade with the "Energy Signal" Poke-POWER? Do I get to use both effects?
A. If the Energy card you attached provides all types (for example, Rainbow Energy), then both effects would trigger. Energy Signal would both Confuse and Poison the Defending Pokemon. (Sep 30, 2010 PUI Rules Team)

And for reference:
Roserade (Unleashed 23) said:
When you attach a Grass Energy card or Psychic Energy card from your hand to Roserade during your turn, you may use this power. If you attach a Grass Energy card, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. If you attach a Psychic Energy card, the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. This power can't be used if Roserade is affected by a Special Condition.

Essentially, this claims that Rainbow Energy DOES count as "attaching a [P] or [G] energy from your hand" (Or in your case, [W]).

TLDR: Based on logic, No. Based on past rulings, Yes :>

based on the previous ruling Lele found it should work but we need the English translation to be sure. As long as it doesn't say basic water, things like rainbow/unit energy and the like should trigger it.

Also there's one other part to this problem-

Attaching the rainbow energy causes damage and healing at the exact same time. However, I believe the general rule with these kind of scenarios was that the player gets to determine the order of events that happen here, so you could do the damage before the healing.

I remember there was a ruling that clarified this. If I find it, I'll post it in thread.

Any time any effect happens simultaneously, the player who controls the Pokemon it's happening to gets to decide the order.

Q. If I have Quagsire and my opponent has Ampharos-EX in play and I attach an energy card to my Quagsire from my hand, which Poke-POWER gets applied first, Saturation or Conductivity?
A. Conductivity and Saturation happen at the same time, so the player attaching energy would get to decide which effect to apply first. (Mar 3, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
