Ruling rainbow energy

If you attach rainboe energy to your Gengar(LM) and make it as a react energy. Does Gengar Curse Reaction will put 2 or 4 damage counter.(Please help me with this I very confuse)

1st thing, rainbow energy provide every type of energy BUT only 1 at a time....
2nd thing, react energy is not a special type of energy, its just a special energy....
so gengar's cursed reaction will only put 2 damage counters on the defending pokemon...

You can't "make" it as a React Energy. React energy is not an energy type (it provides 1 Colourless energy), it is a card. The only card that gives added effects is the card React energy. That means no Rainbow, Multi, DRE, Holon's Whatever does not and never will provide React energy.
