Pokémon (16):
  • 1 Marshadow GX (beatdown)
  • 4 Xerneas XY08 (beatdown)
  • 2 Tapu Lele GX (beatdown)
  • 1 Drampa GX (beatdown)
  • 2 Galvantula (beatdown)
  • 2 Pawniard (evolution)
  • 2 Bisharp (beatdown)
  • 2 Joltik (evolution)
Trainer (30):
  • 4 Professor Sycamore (draw)
  • 1 Professor Kukui (draw)
  • 1 Bridgette (search)
  • 2 Guzma (control)
  • 1 Hala (draw)
  • 3 N (draw)
  • 1 Rescue Stretcher (retrieval)
  • 1 Special Charge (retrieval)
  • 4 Max Elixir (accelerate)
  • 1 Field Blower (discard)
  • 4 Vs Seeker (retrieval)
  • 4 Ultra Ball (search)
  • 3 Fairy Garden (free retreat)
Energy (14):
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 10 Fairy Energy

STRATEGY:

Go first and start with either Xerneas or Drampa GX. Use Tapu Lele GX and Bridgette to fill the bench with evolving Basic Pokémon and either Xerneas or Marshadow GX. Accelerate to the bench with Max Elixir and end the turn. Next turn evolve the benched Basics and start to hit with Rainbow Force. The deck relies a lot on Max Elixir to set up consecutive attackers but thus far the list has been rather consistent.

SPOILER:

Marshadow GX
Basic Fighting Pokémon
HP 150

Ability: Shadow Hunt
This Pokemon can use the attacks of Basic Pokemon in your discard pile. (This Pokemon must have the necessary Energy to use an attack.)
[F][F][C] Beatdown: 120 damage.
[F] One Hundred Fissures GX: 50x
This attack does 50 damage times the number of Basic Energy attached to this Pokemon. (You can only use 1 GX attack per game.)
Retreat Cost: C
Weakness: P

Guzma

Trainer - Supporter
Switch your opponent’s Active Pokemon with 1 of their Benched Pokemon. Then, switch your Active Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

I would suggest losing one Max Elixir for a fourth DCE, DCE provides reliable acceleration of energy without feeding Garbodor or being shut down by Vileplume. I also would lose 2 Fairy Energy, both Professor Kukuis (Your maximum damage is already 250; I don't see the need) for another VS Seeker and three Choice Bands (If your looking for a way to boost damage w/o more types this is the best way). Then, unless this is designed for post rotation, switch out Fairy Garden for Sky Field and both Timer Balls for two Float Stones. Even if you don't put in Sky Field, I would suggest adding in one Float Stone anyways in case you start with Lele or Pawniard and don't have the time to manually attach or you don't have access to Fairy Garden. I would suggest taking out Field Blower or Special Charge for it. Other than that, the list looks good! :)

Hi GekkisaiDaiNi,

Thanks for the review. Not a fan of Skyfield since most deck here run three to four stradium cards in addition to two trainers that can also be used to remove stadiums. Removed Timer Ball and included a fourth Vs Seeker and a fourth Double Colorless Energy as adviced. Timer Ball was not that usefull in the test runs last night. Bridgette does an excellent job at thinning the deck and obtaining relevant basics. Still not sure about either Choice Band or Fighting Fury Belt. Love both cards but not sure whether they are needed that bad in the deck.

I would definitely go with Choice Band. Since you only have 5 Bench spaces your maximum is 220, which means Choice Band would allow you to K.O something like Solgaleo or Metagross with no issue. Brigette is definitely something I would keep, I can tell how helpful it must be. One last thing: with your reliance on DCE, have you considered a second Special Charge?

Hi jessalakasam,

Thanks for the review. Not a fan of Skyfield. With the five bench slots all colors in the deck will be represented and I can still fuel both a benched Xerneas and a benched Marshadow GX on the bench with Max Elixir to take over once the active Xerneas has been knocked out. I also like that Bridgette can search all basics in this deck. Volcanion Ex does not fit that bill.

Hi GekkisaiDaiNi,

Thanks for the review. Still insure whether Choice Band is needed that bad. Solgaleo GX is non-existant in the local meta and the number of Metagross GX is limited. What would you doi to fit in two to three of them without compromising the odds to hit Max Elixir fuels to the benched Xerneas and Marshadow GX to allow the deck to return the knock outs once the active Xerneas has been defeated. At HP 120 Xerneas is an easy ohko these days.

I would suggest losing Kukui and Hala for two Choice Bands. Choice Band allows you to OHKO everything at no cost while Kukui only lets you OHKO more things at the cost of your supporter. Hala is a good card but I don't see Big Wheel being used much. Three Choice Bands may not be nessescary, I don't think it is because the damage output is adequate for OHKOs w/o Choice Band against everything except Decidueye, Metagross, and Solgaleo. Hope this is helpful and good luck with the deck :)

Hi GekkisaiDaiNi,

Thanks for the review. Will test the modifications and see how it does. Took the deck to a small league tournement and it worked out rather well. Got second due to some misplays on my part. The fourth Double Colorless worked well. Although the energy count is high I did not fail a single Max Elixir and was able to stream attackers.
