Okay ..my deck provides quick emerald slash and has a good consistency ...
what I need from you guys is telling me a way for making it better :)

p.s. I don't find beartic such a good idea .. I have won pyroar multiple times with my deck a.k.a. I won't sacrifice the consistency over one Dead Matchup ...

Thanks for the help

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

RE: Rate My Genesect Deck (Help needed)

maybe you could take out the one colress machine for a mewtwo ex? mewtwo wars are getting big again and maybe you could use a separate attacker. In my list I have a shaymin ex but idk how you feel about that but one colress machine just gets rid of a red signal which in my opinion makes the deck. hope I could help!

Hmmm I understand what you say, but I feel since Skyarrow Bridge is gone - one extra energy attachment is crucial : either for retreating an active Genesect or for quick G booster ( Grass - E.Switch - Colress machine)

RE: Rate My Genesect Deck (Help needed)

I would either take out the Crushing Hammer for something else, or put in two or three more copies of it. With Enhanced Hammer rotated, I know it's the only item-based energy removal card in the format (Don't bother with Flare Grunt and waste your supporter for the turn, it's not worth it). However, being a flip card, you need to run several copies (a la Catcher and Roller Skates in some decks) to maximize your chances of success. I also wouldn't suggest going this route in Virgen unless you'd like to run Drifblim. I'll leave that up to you. I think Drifblim has more coverage and will see more use as a tech than Beartic (as will Raichu), but it will come at the cost of consistency. I have seen some great VirGen decks run Drifblim or Raichu (or both), but that's your call.

I'd also go for at least one more copy of Energy Retrieval. With Super Rod gone, this is the only way that energy can be recovered from the discard via a Trainer (aside from Superior, which is overkill for this deck). Sadly, it goes back to your hand so Virizion can't Slash them back onto the field. Still, since you're not running backup attackers, G-Booster is your only "coverage" attack. This is not a bad thing by any means, but you want to make sure you can fuel it reliably.

Lastly, you can think about running a single Lysandre. Garbodor is so popular right now, so you can expect your use of Red Singal to be limited. You can Megaphone and then attach a Plasma Energy to Genesect to pull an opposing Garbodor up and Megalo it, but this recquires two cards to be in your hand rather than just one. Again up to you, but Big Basics and Yveltal decks to tend to have a hard time recovering if Garbodor gets KO'd midgame (rather than just having the tool removed). An extra line of defense can go a long way.

I don't think I would even bother with Energy removal effects at all. You would get way more benifit out of cards that increase consistency. I'm thinking maybe dropping Team Flare Grunt and the lone Hammer for 2 Bicycle. Bike is just consistently a useful card.

I would also drop flare grunt and hammer. Maybe get one max pottion (helps for me in T1 or T2) and get bicycle.
I think running 3 genesect is enough also with energy retrievel you can drop one grass energy
