As the title suggests, this is the Teacher Deck I use to teach new players at my local league. It's primarily comprised of cards I had laying around so I wouldn't have to spend any money on them. I'm more or less looking to see if it will accurately teach the basics of Pokemon to the kids, not whether it's "good" or not.

Pokemon: 20
4-4 Cherrim SF
2-2 Sunflora HGSS
2-1 Shaymin LV. X(Ground Forme)
1-1 Blissey Prime
2 Stantler UL(starter/fill in)
1 Azelf

T/S/S: 31
4 PlusPower
3 Dual Ball(Can't afford Collector)
2 MooMoo Milk
2 Expert Belt
1 Bench Shield(for shaymin)
2 Pokemon Communication
1 Luxury Ball
2 Switch
2 Bebe's Search
3 Buck's Training
1 Black Belt
1 Twins
2 Emcee's Chatter
2 Professor Oak's Visit
3 Copycat

NRG: 9
4 Rescue
5 {G}

Strategy: Attack for free with Cherrim's "Salty-Sweet Pollen" attack. Get multiple Cherrim's on the bench for added damage. PlusPowers/Expert Belt for more power, and Shaymin X for more HP. Variety of hand refresh/draw power for different situations, and Emcee's Chatter for teaching that a coin flip can sometimes be the difference between X amount of cards, or Y amount of cards. Same thing with MooMoo Milk. Blissey can essentially heal for free if no energy is attached, and Rescue Energy works great when Blissey can't be searched/is prized or whatever.

^Way to give encouragement.. Flamemaster.. where do you go to league?

Anyway, I also cannot afford it. This deck is for beginners anyway. Make sure you can add some Uxie LA (if you can afford them :) ) You won't need any Buck's Training, so you could emove them for some Bebe's Search. I prefer PONT over Copycat, but that's preference, so I would mix PONT with Copycat. :) :) :)

@ditto1102: I'm not asking you if you'd use it. I was asking your opinion or not as to whether this was a good deck for beginners to master. It's not meant to beat LuxChomp or anything like that.
@Yoshidude10: Milford, MA. In order to get Uxie i'd have to do season 7 over(or whichever season uxie promo is). Me and my buddy are running league next weekend to sub for our league leader who will be in CT, so I might be able to grab that card and complete at least one row so i get an Uxie and a SNORLAX W00t!

Anyways, I don't think I'll need as many Bebe's due to Sunflora's PokePower, which is why I only run 2. PONT is better than Copycat, but also due to that fact, I have none to spare, as they're all decked in my better decks. I've got like 15 extra copies of Copycat which is why I use them here.

What I might do is just delete POV and MC Hammer all together and maximize my Buck's Training line, since Buck's is just like a Bill and PlusPower all rolled into one.
The idea is to use Salty-Sweet Pollen, but the {G} energy is there in case you have nothing better to use your energy attachment on. Ideally, you either attach Rescue Energy, or have a spare Chansey on the bench to evolve to Blissey when you need it.

I recommend Super Scoop Up. It is not so expensive now that Seeker is out, and it can teach coin flips very well, not to mention pick up strategy.

As sad as this is, I've somehow run out of SSU. I used to have like 15 of them, but somehow or another, they're all decked/traded away. I'd use them if I had them, but I'll put some in if i acquire them.

If this is a league deck, why don't you just proxy it or proxy whatever deck the SSU's are in? <--(Sorry I ended that sentence in "in," a preposition).

Good call on that one. They are sleeved afterall. I used to proxy a lot more, but I really don't like to because I don't have a color printer and proxys look so much better in color. I'm gonna add another sentence about this deck so I don't get warned for spam in my own post........This deck definitely needs more Cherrim. Maybe a 6-6 line. Could use more cowbell as well, now that I think about it.

No, only 5 - 5 Cherrim seems good. I'd add in a 2 - 2 - 2 Cowbell though, it seems like the perfect tech for this deck. Also I'm really into Proxies, I think it really helps make the strategy and skill more important than how rich one may be, and is invaluable for testing.

Off topic but also kinda on topic:
MA States is in Milford right? What's the metagame like?

I'll definitely add in a 2-2-2 line of Cowbell, to counter pretty much everything.

I believe MA states are in Milford, although I'm not 100% sure.

I really have no idea what the metagame is because I've only been to 2 tournaments so far. The first, I ran Magmortar SW, Houndoom GE, and Infernape Pl together. Needless to say I lost. The second, was Cities, which I didn't do so hot either. The most common decks I saw were DialgaChomp and G-dos, although I'm not sure that it automatically makes them "the meta."

Really what are the most common. Here we see Gengar(Vile/Lost) and Garchomp(Dialga/Luxray), with the occasional Gyarados and rogue(=P) deck.

Also...This has the location and date for most states.

It says it's in Milford on the 19th. I can't make it to California, Nevada, or Arizona states, and I'm going to be in Boston 18th-20th or so, so I figured, why not? =P

Anyway, you can ask other players you know in your area, what do you foresee being popular up there next month?

No clue, dude. You're really asking the wrong person haha.
Where do you live? California, Arizona, and Nevada are a long away from Massachusetts. I just find it funny that you say you can't make it to California/Arizona/Nevada but Massachusetts is convenient. Vacationing out this way?

Coming to look at grad schools. Going from Boston to New York, and other places. I need to research the MA metagame, but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere, but yeah, it is weird that those would be convenient. I'm in SoCal (The hardest metagame in the US, unfortunately, although the whole "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" principle kind of applies over here =P), so we usually trade with the Nevada and Arizona people and their States. When the Mirmans lived in Nevada they'd always come to California for States (I don't think they still do), and many people would head over to Nevada or Arizona, since they're the closest to Southern California (and States in California has been in Pasadena and Long Beach the past 4+ years, all in SoCal), so it makes sense when they are on different weekends.

I know the metagame in MA has a LOT of G-dos(from Cities), as well as Blaziken FB X and Luxchomp. Trainer Lock is also common. This comes from a person who plays against these decks in Arlington and Tewksbury and Milford and always loses to Blaze and 'Dos. :)

I'll definitely be using GOW reprint as others will be to ruin set-ups. And nice counter deck, I like it. :)

And I like your sig. =)
