Really depressed...

Any suggestions on what I could do to feel better? I'm not going to say what all is bothering me, but try to come up with something. :(

The best thing to do is to get pre-occupied with other things to distract your focus. If you start a bunch of little projects or just get yourself busy in some way it'll likely help - it might even be a good idea to overwhelm yourself with new things if something's bothering you a lot. The worst thing you can do is watch TV or browse the internet constantly as doesn't really divert your focus to something new and can make you continue to dwell on something.

Don't ask us for help lol

If you're really depressed go to a school councilor or talk to your friend in real life. Interwebz = the worst place for mental advice :D

Well, Porygon had a good suggestion, at least. :p

School counselor? Yea, right. :p

I don't think we can help unless you tell us whats upsetting you... Talk to other people involved, always helps me sort stuff out.

Pretty much what Porygon said. If you keep yourself unoccupied, you give yourself alot of time to dwell on whatever is bothering you, and it's just going to eat you up inside. Plus people are way more likely to become/stay depressed when the mind remains inactive.

Try new things. Perhaps you'll find a new hobby, and perhaps you'll make new friends- heck, you might even realise later on that this problem you have isn't as bad as you once thought! :p

Hope that helps you out

drink away your problems.
... im just kidding..
uhhmmm talk to some friends about it i have a few friends that i know i can go to0 to talk

Try to involve yourself with new and healthy things. The same routine can make you even more depressed. While you're doing something fun and new, it is very likely that you will not think about what is depressing you. But that also does not mean that you shouldn't think about your situation as well and really look for a solution that will help you solve the situation once and for all if it is solvable. I really hope you feel better, and that you find a way to feel better. :)

I recommend going to a counselor, not necessarily a school one but what ever you need. I have some depression issues too, I put it off for too long and things got bad. So I told to go to a counselor and it helped lots. I go regularly about twice a month or more if i need it. Don't blow them off, they can really help you.

Eat some candy. If you eat candy everything will be okay.

It would help if we knew why you are depressed.

Go watch some funny movies, or take a nap.

Do distracting things, eg run around, bang your head while singing a song ( XD Scrap that one) the worst thing you can do is sit there and think about it, trust me, i have an everlasting depression and i spend long times thinking and boy does it suck, and dosnt help at all :p . me and my freind recentley made up some kind of zoo of strange animals and we write about them and draw them and stuff :3 sounds silly but it helps the time pass and your focusing on the animal and the drawings and the features and now im sounding wierd :p . Ill shut up now XD

Oh and unless your a person who goes to sleep instantly then i find naps/ sleeping just a time where i think. And thinking is bad.

I myself was am clinically depressed. I was bipolar at one point and talking about it on the internet didn't help. You need to get out there and realize who your real friends are, not just the ones you think are your friends on the internet :)

Have you tried NOT being depressed?

Best advice ever. Seriously. Just think about other things, and don't talk online about it. You won't get any help for yourself that way.

dmaster out.

Excercise. Seriously. If you go to the gym and work out you will feel like a million bucks. It really helps take your mind off of things and for some reason after a good work out you feel happier.

It has worked for me and for a friend of mine. You will feel great mentally and physically. Plus you'll be healthy, which is one less thing to worry about.

If you don't feel comfortable discussing the issue(s) that are making you depressed in the first place with people, you really shouldn't be asked them for help/advice, either. Go talk to someone you're close to/can relate to in your problem.

I agree that getting advice on the internet isn't the best idea, but might as well post my suggestions.

Don't let yourself sleep in. Try to be doing things all the time, and by that I mean real things, not playing video games, watching TV, or messing around on the computer.
If you have any groups you could volunteer in, do that. Don't work, work will make it worse. Volunteer. The difference is important for this.
Take long walks, preferably far away from cities. Go to a park or a forest or somewhere, pack a sandwich and a bottle of water and nothing else, and just walk. Think, but don't stress over life issues.

It really would help if you could post just a general explanation of why you're depressed, it doesn't need to be specific.
