If I did something wrong with this mods, I apologize.
Anyway, I've been gone for a while (adjusting to my recent move and all) plus my computer kind of broke, so if anyone recognizes me, great! If not, oh well.
Edit: Website at http://www.terraproject.webs.com
Anyway, this past year, one of my friends wrote a story with all of his friends in it (including me), and I promised him that I'd make it into a video game, and now that I have a brand new computer, I can finally do this. This is the first place I posted, because this website offers Rawst berries for flame victems (see what I did there?). Anyway, here is a copy of the prologue I wrote, and if you want to help, just leave a note. I am not going to screw up on this. That means I won't rush, overload myself, aim for something I can't accomplish. This is a game that's going to happen, whether this year, next year, or 10 years. If you're interested in helping, that'd be great. I'm not going to start right away, there's still a lot of planning to do. This is just to see who's interested in the game, and if not, oh well.
Also, hello Pokebeach! I'm back!
Note: This might make no sense whatsoever. This is a hugely revised version of the original my friend wrote, and is still not perfect itself. Don't read if you are easily confused. Also, if you read carefully you can figure out my real name. Not that it's that interesting, of course.
Prequel: The Time Before
"In certain periods of strife, those who wish to succeed must rise above their peers and take hold of the future. However, when the strife is over, what becomes of those who have risen up? Most become kings, or leaders in their communities. Others disappear, for they are no longer needed...."

The game was very close, with Nelder barely scratching in with a final score of 54-53. Drummond High was quite gloomy after the game, and head QB Alex Marty was in a depressed mood. "You shouldn't blame yourself because he ran away", his good friend Jasmine told him the day before. Alex didn't want to listen to it, though, because try as he might, the only conclusion for his best friend running off was the argument they had six months earlier....
"Don't blame me if you can't get a girlfriend!", Joey Kunz screamed at him. "If you're always gonna act like you're some kind of god, then of course people will stay away from you. You alienate your friends, push away strangers, and even Austin is getting sick of it. Ever since you joined the team and made it to the first string you've been acting like you're gods gift to humanity, and believe me Alex, you're not. Your friends are here to help you, if you'd give them the chance. Ryan goes out of his way to keep you out of trouble with the teachers, and even does most of your homework for you, and yet you treat him like dirt. Wake up Alex, because if you don't, your friends are gonna leave you behind when you need them the most. I should know. I was like that once, and only you, Ashton, Austin, and Ryan stood by me when I needed you most. And now I want to stand by you. Drop your silly pride and let them help you out".
Alex knew he was acting like an ass, but all the fame he got, the thrill of victory, it was hard to even remember he had friends sometimes. When Joey disappeared, he knew somehow it had to be his fault, and yet he still played in the games, taking thrill in his victories. And now that the team had finally fallen, he knew it was time to listen to what his friends had always been telling him.
Drummond High was a private school located in the mountains of Wyoming. With the income brought in by the massive amounts of coal mining, many schools had been able to expand and afford many new technologies. Drummond started out as a small school which only had 5 teachers and around 40 students, but when the founder started his own coal mining business the school grew into a great academy where only the wealthy could afford to send their children. It was a dorm school, with kids being sent up there when their parents were too busy to even care about them. This led to very tight-knit groups springing up, and Alex's was one of the smallest yet one of the most important ones in the school. It only consisted of his and his best friend Joey's closest friends, and they did everything together, travel, eat, and they even shared a private dorm. One day they woke up to find Joey missing. It started falling apart from there.
Brian was the first to leave. "I'm sick of your attitude, Alex, and how everybody thinks that you're so wonderful, even though it's obvious you're not!". Gerald was next. "Even though I didn't know Joey as well as you, Alex, I would at least know that he would hate what you're becoming". People left, and soon there were only 7. Alex, Austin, Ashton, Jasmine, Shannon, Trevor, and Ryan. Alex was a tall and hefty 15 year old (everyone except Ryan is 15), and star of the football team. He cuts his blond hair short and almost always wears a hoody, even in the middle of summer. Austin is one of Alex's close friends and the only other one on the football team (he's the fastest wide reciever in the state). He is very tall and skinny with brown hair, and almost never talks. Ashton is the goth and emo of the group, though he'd probably stab you if you called him that. He was Joey's first friend when he first got to the school, and you rarely see the two apart. Jasmine is the bright and bubbly girl of the group, always with a smile on her face. Her blond hair and personality are complete opposites of her best friend Shannon, who is often mistaken for a serial killer. Her short black hair and "damn them all" attitude are intimidating to anyone outside of the group, though she's sweet and nice to her friends (and don't let her catch you saying that). She's the girlfriend and self-proclaimed fiancee of Austing. Trevor is a kid who is picked on a lot because he is part chinese. Because of this, he's found doing all sorts of illegal activities (the dirty, crude kind). Mid-length dirty black hair and an annoying personality tend to get him beat up, a lot. Joey's other best friend Ryan is the oldest, though he's only 16, and is the jack of all trades of the group. Getting consistent A's and excelling in all sorts of athletics, he never had any friends until he met Joey. Joey and him have been best friends ever since. Tall, with shoulder length dark hair and glasses, he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. That is, until you screw with his friends. Then you die. You die quickly. Joey himself was always considered a nerd, tall and lanky with short blond hair and an acne covered face, he's not someone you'd want to hang with on first appearances. Yet he's got one of the greatest temperaments of anybody around.
Lunchtime the next day found everyone pretty gloomy. Drummond's first loss that season was gossiped by everybody, and everyone wanted to blame Alex. He sat with the group at one of the tables. "Anyone see where Ryan is?" Ashton asked. Heads were shook and everybody fell into silence. "Damn! Why can't anything ever work out!" Alex suddenly yelled out loud, catching everyone by surprise and knocking Trevor out of his chair. "What do you mean?" Austin asked him. "I mean, first Joey and I have a big fight. Then he turns up missing, the group falls apart, and now I can't even trust myself to keep you guys. I wish for once that something would change for the better and maybe get us out of this slum!" Everyone sat quite, Trevor getting back into his chair. They waited for more, but Alex was silent. Austin wanted to say something, but at that point however, a policeman walked in with Ryan close behind. "And if you try to forge another document again to impede a police investigation, you will suffer penalties", he said in a stern voice as Ryan sat down with a crumpled paper in his hand. The policeman left while everyone stared at Ryan. "So, gonna explain?" Jasmine ventured. Ryan took a deep breath, and exclaimed, "This paper is from Joey". Pure silence. Ryan continued. "Here, take a look at this. It's from Joey, the handwriting is exactly the same. It's pretty crazy though, I'll let you guys read it". He unfolded the paper. Everyone looked in at awe. The paper was very faded, with an antique look to it. What was even more impressive was that the ink was glowing with a green light.
Dear Ryan, and others
I am safe and sound, and I am not in danger. I need to tell you something important, but it is important that you believe everything I have written and act on it immediately.
"Pretty fancy words", Trevor said. "Shut up for once", Shannon said, and Ryan went back to reading.
I am in a completely different world. One that exists in a dimension other than Earth's. I need you all to come as quickly as possible to this world, which is called Thalia. This part is addressed solely to Alex. I have enclosed a pendant with the letter, which you should keep around your neck at all times.
As he read, Ryan pulled a necklace from his pocket, with a small, pink crystal on the end of it.
Take that pendant and use it to open a portal to this world. I know you may not believe me, but at least try, for my sake and for yours. Do not involve the others in this, for if they get hurt, then I will hold myself accountable. Please hurry, the forces of darkness are closing in and I don't have much tim....
The letter ended there abruptly, and Ryan looked up from his reading. Alex took the pendant and put it around his neck. "Either this is one stupid prank, or Joey's clearly insane. Which one do you guys think", Trevor said. "Only one way to find out", Ashton commented back. Alex stood up, shook his head, and walked away. "What's eating him?", Jasmine asked.
That night, Alex sat in his room staring out the window. "Joey, I swear, if this is some kind of trick, then..." His voice faltered, and he stood up. He raised the pendant to the air, and said, "If you're not lying, then please let something happen". He stood there, but everything was silent. The sound of a tv could be heard below him. "Damn't, won't something work toda....", he started, but was cut off when a gale of wind picked up and a large black hole slowly opened in front of him. "Wha...?" he managed before he was sucked in, darkness engulfing him and an immense pain coursing through his body. The only thing he could hear was the sound of his own screaming, and then all was silent.
Also remember that this is only the basic plot of the prologue, and not what's actually going to happen. Anyone interested?
