Ruling Rely on Friends

Waillord LM's Rely on Friends attack:
Does 40 damage plus 10 more damage for each of your benched Stage 1 pokemon.

If one were also running fossils lines, say Omanyte and Omastar which had been put into play through Strange Cave or such, would the Omastar now count as a Stage 1? I can't imagine that the now considered basic Omanyte would still be counted as a Stage 1.

yep i agree if omantye becomes basic through holon fossil or strange cave rely on friends atk would not include it in the damage

...You dont read well do you broko? Houndoom clearly states that the pokes are still OFFICIALLY Stage 1's. As such, yes, they are counted in Wailord's attack.

But what he's asking is if Omastar is now a Stage 1. Which it is not, it is still a Stage 2.
