hey by any chance i have noticed that the johto region is the most unpopular because it doesent have a remake like for example.
red/blue:
firered/leafgreen

rupy/sapphire
doesent need a remake yet

Are you crazy?! Johto is one of the most populer region. The only reason FR/LF was made was so you could get all of the pokemon to Hoen. Cause before to get Johto pokemon to ruby and saphire was immposible. And if there is A remake it will be for DS. Not GBA. GBA is done for. THERE WILL NEVER BE A POKEMON GAME ON THE GBA AGAIN! Sorry I sounded rude.
 
I'm agreeing with Bonsly on this one - While Johto would be an awesome setting, there's just no need of it anymore... As it stands, there are no Pokemon that are unavailable. You can find all of the Johto Pokemon in Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Colosseum and XD. I mean, I'd love to be able to travel around Johto - especially Mt. Silver. But there's no practical reason for GAMEFREAK to make it. They've already said they want to concentrate on non-Pokemon franchises like Drill Dozer, so why would they take that back and remake yet another Pokemon RPG that isn't going anywhere?

I'm just happy to plug my copy of Crystal into my GBC and play that...

P.S. To reiterate what Bonsly said, but with greater clarity: THE GBA IS D-E-A-D. There won't be any big games on it ever again. But then again, there's nothing stopping Nintendo releasing a Pokemon RPG for the next GB. After all, Ninty have been quite stringent in telling people that the DS isn't replacing the Game Boy...
 
Johto is a popular region. It may just be that they have not decided to release a johto remake right now. There could be one in development right now. Fire red/leaf green are not really that old. They wont release one right now because diamond/pearl have only just come out.
 
Remeber you can catch Johto Pokemon in FR/LG and Pokemon Colosseum and XD so there is really no need for a remake. I know all of us want it and miss it but I don't think it will happen. If they had plans for it then it would have come out late last year.:)
 
1st off no im not crazy and yes never mind scratch gba out.but it would be more convient to get all the johto pokemon 2 games instead of like 5-6 games

Well they made it like that to get money I mean with 2 game they make less then giving them out in 5-6
 
Well say all you have is a DS. You would have to buy a GBA, FR , LG A gamecube, XD GoD, and the connection courd for the GBA and GC. and spend hours and hours to beat the elite 4 in three games. get the national pokedex and do a bunch of stuff in XD GoD. or buy 1 game and play through it. If I didn't have option 2 I wouldn't buy all that stuff. I want a sequel!

Last time I saw, there were plenty of Johto Pokemon going up for Trade online. Most people are only uploading Johto Pokemon so they can trade 'em off for more Shinou Pokemon. To finish their Dex off. So there, Mr. Metagross - you don't need to buy all of those. All you really need to do is capture a buttload of Pokemon and train them until they're tradeable. I know that when Diamond and Pearl come out in Europe next month, I'll be putting every single Johto Pokemon up for trade online for specifically Natured Pokemon... I'm even going to be trading off Shiny Charmanders from Fire Red. I've been cloning them like mad on Emerald - I have 50 of the buggers now... >D

So ya... Stop being lazy and use the WiFi feature on your DS for the reason it was put there... You don't think you can trade worldwide for no reason, do you?
