Please remember to include the set abbreviations of ALL Pokemon that have different sets. For example, I've seen a ton of posts that have:

2-2-2 Emboar BW Ability

That post did not follow the rules. What about Tepig and Pignite? Would you rather be stuck with a two retreat Tepig start or a one retreat Tepig? But one can survive 10 more damage. And the Promo one can burn on a flip. All of that matters, even if it's not a game changer for the most part. To fix your post, you can do this:

2 Tepig Promo 7 (Or say something that identifies this card like "One retreat" or "60 HP" or "Burn" so people don't have to look it up.)
2 Pignite 18
2 Emboar BW Ability

or this:

2-2-2 Emboar (Promo 7-18-Ability/20)

This also works if the pre-evo has two different sets entirely:

2-2 Ninetales (UL-HS)

Speaking of Ninetales and Emboar, remember to add the set of the main evolution. It may be obvious that you're not gonna run 2 UL Ninetales or 2 non-ability Emboar, but it's still required.

However, if someone did this:

4-2-4 Magnezone

That would be acceptable because there is only one Magnemite, one Magneton, and one Magnezone legal in this format. If there are also multiple copies of a card but each copy does the same thing (for example, Cleffa from HS, CL, and Promo) then the set number isn't required. If they had "Unlimited" in the title, of course, that'd be a different story.

One more thing. Rules MATTER. I don't want to see any posts like "Well the Tepig doesn't really matter that much anyway." It does matter in games, and it definitely matters in your posts because it's a rule. And this whole thread is just an explanation on the rule that you have to include sets/set numbers for your Pokemon. So if we had to make 2 sticky threads regarding the subject, then it must matter.

So basically remember to add the specific set of all Pokemon when needed to specify. Thanks for reading.

RE: Reminder: Add the set abbreviations of your Pokemon (HUGE UPDATE)

People to break this rule in the future will get a 1 point warning like they normally would for main Pokemon.

EDIT: I've loosened this up a bit. I'm making it a 1 point warning, and if you don't include the set numbers/abbreviations for over 2 Pokemon, you'll get the warning, but if you forget to add them for 2 or less Pokemon, I'll just give a verbal warning.
