If I have a Robo Substitute in play, can I play a Repeat Ball and search my deck for a Robo Substitute? My guess would be no, since there is not a "Pokemon" in your deck with the name Robo Substitute, as it's not a Pokemon while in your deck. Either way, I'd like some confirmation on this. Thanks in advance!

You are correct in assuming that Repeat Ball does not grab Robo Substitute. Robo Substitute is considered an Item card until it is in play.
