Ruling Rescue Energy and Legends

I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed, but I can't seem to find a ruling on this.

If I have a Rescue Energy attached to a 2-piece Legend pokemon (let's say, Palkia & Dialga Legend) and it is knocked-out by an attack, do both Legend pieces go to my hand?

I would assume they both go back to the hand, but Legends are weird so I could be wrong.

You are correct. Although it must be knocked out by DAMAGE from an attack. If it is, both pieces will go back to your hand.
