iv'e been looking around at some of the Reshiboar decks online and i understand the basic concept of how the deck works. Use Reshiram to attack for 120 damage with blue flare, then use retrivals and fishermen to get your lost energy back. then using Emboar "Rain Dances" all your fire energy back onto Reshiram to attack again the next turn.

well this is a list i'm perticually intrested in tweaking, since iv'e only used it a few times.

OK so the Strategy here is basically as iv'e explained. Attack with Reshiram, get the energy back and power on all the energy you need with Emboar (Ability). and Ninetails is your draw power, for those extra cards

i use Rayquaza Deoxys legend since they also discard fire energy, but they have a broken pokebody that states that if a pokemon is knocked out by their attack, you get an extra prize card. for 150 for 2 fire 1 lightning and a colourless energy i think it's worth it, especially as it's good against mirror and water decks plus both pieces are searchable with comunication. i always hold back my rescue energy for this beast, as then i only discard 2 fire. i might lower the count to 1-1 to make room for Cleffa (below) but i'm not removing it fully from the deck.

i only have one Cleffa which sucks. i would run 4 but until i get more money i'm stuck with just the one. maybe advice on what to take out for the extra 3 Cleffa, as i want these to be my starter pokes.

RDL is not searchable with Collector.

As for the deck, take out an IQ for a Cleffa, you run lots of supporters that only help late on (Like IQ, retrival, fisherman, etc.), and have a high count of energies. You'll probably get unplayable/bad hands often, and Cleffa will give you a new hand.

i haven't tried rayquaza/deoxys LEGEND yet, so it might be a good idea

Elms training method is a useless card, which can easily be overpowered by a pokemon communications, or even a pokeball. you need more of the emboar family so you can get him easier and to reduce the chance of the emboars getting prized. despite the +1 of any evolved pokemon in a deck, it is better to use the 1 supporter on something else.

ok thanks. i did some more research into legends and yes you are right, they arn't basics so i can't collector them. i have edited my first post to show this.
Pokeball aparantly works on legends as it dosn't specify what sort of poke you want even though its a coin flip, and Communication still seems fine.
also great ball (when it comes out) can be used to grab one if it's in my top 7.

i only have 2 ability Emboar. (Maybe something to put aside with cleffa) but i only have the Flare Blitz Emboar left, that does 150, since i got all the preconstructed decks

that is okay, you dont need another ability emboar, but go ahead and add the starter deck emboar. flare blitz does 150 and dicards 2 energy. that is reshiram exactly, except blue flame does 120, and flare blitz does 150, so definitely use emboar non-ability, as he is absolutely powerful with the ability emboar, but slow on his own.

iv'e added another rare candy to the deck so i can get any of the Emboars up and running fast enough, and removed 1 Collector. (I think 3 is plenty) or until i can think of another card to remove.

the only problem with the flare blitz emboar is the card states "Discard ALL Fire energy attached to it. so if it has 4 fire energy attached, i loose the lot for 150 damage! on the bright side it KO's practically everything HGSS on except Samurott (Ability)

Becuase i think two is enough candy and 3 reshiram is good unless you really do end up using all 4 which i believe is rare.

+ 2 junk arm
i would add two junk arm to re-use all those nice trainers like communication/pluspower/rarecandy/energy retrieval. Junk arm is becoming quite important in all decks.

iv'e changed the total cards in my original post now. i should have 60 cards now.

during my play test i kept getting rare candy when i had both emboars in play. i'm still abit unsure about taking out a reshiram, but i did get them pretty fast in my play test, although, one was prized in one match.

iv'e added the 2 Junk arm anyway, and it works well. managed to get back a communication late game for the second half of a legend piece i had in my hand and won the game by throwing down a lightning energy and 3 fire from Emboar ability (If you can do that. me and my mate are still unsure about the ruling for different energy when Emboar is in play)

No you cant. You could however attach the lightnnig energy normally and the fandango down 3 fire as fandango only works with fire energy not lightning if im understanding you correctly. Also although most people swear cleffa should be in all decks id say drop cleffa all together and add 1-1 ninetales and either a burnt tower or a third rare candy. 3-3 ninetales means more often than not you are going to have a ninetales or 2 up by t2 and then start abusing his draw power without attacks or worrying about giving away a free prize. The new starter would be either walling with reshi or if need be sacrificing a vulpix. On the burned tower is because youll be burning a lot of energy and one more form of energy recovery is nice especially vs trainer lock. Rare candy could also be put in for a bit more consistency for clutch evos.

thanks for answering my question.
it's just the lightning energy would be my 1 energy per turn thing, and then i would burn 3 fire energy with Emboar, as his abilty effects only fire energy, and i can play as many of them as i want. i was just unsure if i can use fire energy from emboar after using up my one energy per turn requirement on a different energy like lightning, and still being able to use the fire energy from my hand with Emboar on the bench.

i only have 2 Ninetails with roast reveal. i have 1 of the other not so good one with the 2 attacks, thats from Unleashed i think, but i don't think it'll work in this deck.

removing Cleffa will be easy as i onloy had one to begin with and i was going to by another 3 online, so that might save me some money.

i have one burned Tower stadium only! but i probobly only need the one as i'll burn through my deck so fast.

and back to 3 rare candy again. i didn't like the idea of taking one out in the first place, when i have 3 Emboar in the deck, and a turn 2 Fandango would realy help Reshi if i end up putting him active from my opening hand.

so for now, i'll take out the Cleffa and add back the rare candy back and the burned tower stadium.

If the lightning is your energy attachment for turn, then that is perfectly acceptable.

I won one of my matches at battle roads BECAUSE of a 4th reshiram. I had to sacrifice 2 against a speed deck and my 3rd was ready to go and got half my prizes, then my 4th got the rest for me. I guess with RDL, that could be your next attacker though, so you could get away with 3 reshiram with this setup.

i dunno what to take out for a 4th Reshiram. i have one Cleffa left in the deck, but it's nice to have it because i still get it in 2 out of 10 play test matches in my opening hand.

but my deck includes the starter deck Emboar and R&D legend, which might help to compensate.

and my T/S/S line looks about right, and i'm happy with it. although i think i may need more plus power, to help against mirror. maybe thats something to replace Cleffa with?
