Hey yall,

I think that Reshiram from B/W has a lot of potential with Emboar's Fervid Dance. Think about it: Basic pokemon, 130 HP, and he can do 120 almost every turn with the correct set-up. Definetly a great card. I put together a make-shift deck list, but I;m willing to hear other techs that would help this deck. I'm going to try and make this deck HGSS-on at some point, so any help with that would be great as well.

4x Reshiram
2-2-2 Emboar
2-2 Nintales CoL
4x Sableye SF

18 Pokemon

3x Collector
4x Energy Retrieval
3x Fisherman
2x Pokemon Communication
2x Bebe’s Search
4x Max Restore
2x IQ
2x Rare Candy
1x Palmer’s Contribution

23 T/S/S

15 Fire Energy
4x DCE

19 Energy

Total: 60 cards

Strategy: Start with Sableye and get Reshiram and Emboar set up. With all the fire energy, Reshi should be powered up within a couple of turns. Send out Reshi, and blue flame for 120 damage. The fire energy is sent to the discard, where it can be picked up with the multitude of different energy retrievers. You can literally do 120 every turn. Dodrio is to retreat your Reshi if needed, but Max Restore can heal him as well.
The DCE is if Emboar ever needs to attack, or if Outrage needs to be an option. Revive is to gain back Reshi's, and palmers can save Reshi's and energy, as well as the Emboar line.

Thanks in advance for the help, I think this deck could rock!

If you're running a fire deck, I don't know why you wouldnt want to run Ninetales for roast reveal. Can I make the suggestion that you play the deck more like a charizard deck?

-2 fisherman
-2 energy retrieval

+2 vulpix
+2 ninetails

^Fisherman is required for this deck, since you're discarding energy every turn. It also combos even better with the aforementioned Ninetales. Add in Ninetales, but keep Fisherman. Ditch the Doduo UD, since it's unecessary.

I definitely think Reshiram with Typhlosion rather than Emboar is the way to go; you don't need to worry about bringing so many energies back with supporters, then, nor do you need to run 19 in your deck. Still, if you really want to run this as a donk deck, I think you've figured it out. Personally though, I think playing it more like Charizard is the way to go; you lose the fighting resist, a bit of HP, and some damage potential, but gain speed and consistency. The real question is will Reshiram replace Charizard or will it replace Infernape 4? Will it be neither, and the deck will get more toolboxy?

You can't donk with this unless you play BTS.
(B/W rules)

That relies on two assumptions:
1) That the B/W cards and the rule change will occur at the same time
2) That BTS is not played.

There really isn't any reason to focus so hard on a possible turn 1 setup except to go for a donk - the deck would be more consistent with a bigger focus on draw power and recovery, like typical Charizard builds.

I also didn't notice he wasn't running BTS.
+3 BTS
-2 Fire Energy
-1 DCE
