Ruling Reshiram and Prism Energy/Rainbow Energy

If Reshiram has a double colorless, one fire, and one prism energy (or rainbow) attached, what happens if it uses blue flare and must discard two fire energy? I know that the attack still deals the damage because it doesn't say, "If you can't, this attack does nothing". I also realize that the fire energy has to be discarded, because you have to do as much of the attack as you can. But does the prism energy have to be discarded, since it is every energy, but only one at a time?
