Reshiram/Typhlosion (HGSS-on)

This is kind of a spin-off of my other Reshiboar deck, but i figured there were enough differences to make a whole new thread. My other one sucked anyway.

This is RESHIPHLOSION!!! Hehehe... suckish name. But the deck is a good idea. Anyway, you bring out your Reshiram, with your Typhlosion on the bench. You Blue Fire, doing 120 per turn. Afterburner lets you retrieve those energy, as well as power up Outrage, should you have to use it. That's the basic plan. Here's my list:

4x Reshiram BW
2-1-2 Typhlosion Prime
2-2 Ninetales CoL (Draw Power)
4x Smeargle CoL (Excellent Starter)

17 Pokemon

3x Pokemon Communication
3x Rare Candy
4x Revive (Rescue Reshirams)
2x Switch (Switch so I can Seeker Reshirams)
2x Professor Juniper (Discard Energy, drawpower)
3x Pokemon Collector
2x IQ (Get the energy)
2x Seeker
3x Twins (Smeargle dies, use twins!)
3x Fisherman (Get energy, so I can use Ninetales)
2x PETM (Replace Bebe's)
2x PONT

31 T/S/S

8x Fire Energy
4x Rescue Energy (Save Typhlosions and Reshirams)

12 Energy

So that's my deck. I obviously has a lot of T/S/S, so any help on cleaning that up would be appreciated. Any help at all would be appreciated!

beautiful list! veryquick and simple, mind if i use this sometime haha !
any way i see what the rare candies are for = revive then candy. but you could take out the quilavas entirely if you want but consistency is key. possible disruption and manipulation if you use judge instead of PONT, plus you can draw more with ninetails! whilst they are SOL ^^ and set up Reshi as well!

peace!

+1-1 Ninetales. Ninetales is so boss that a 3-3 line would help boost consistency. Pitch the Burned Tower for him.
I'd also run Emboar over Typhlosion. Think about it....when would you ever NEED to use Outrage? When will you ever not be able to use Blue Flame? You obviously won't be running DCE, so the fact that you could Outrage for 1 is out(you wouldn't have enough damage by then anyways). The only case I can think of is if your 10 away from death and NEED to do 140 to the opponent..but then you could just Belt Reshiram in a clutch situation that was that important anyways.

Bottom line is, Emboar is better. Play lots of IQ to get energy into your hand, Fervor Dance them down, Stolen face, and repeat. Run Rescue NRG to keep Reshiram from going to the d-pile, and Fisherman to get the {R} back. Then, put Reshiram down, Fervor Dance some more, and continue the cycle(this time, not killing Reshy in the process). The alternative is to set up 'Phlosion, figure out a way of discarding the {R}(probably Professor Juniper or Engineer's Adjustments), Afterburner twice(so you'll need 2 'Phlosion set up as opposed to 1 Emboar) Fervor Dance, then kill.

As a final note, keep in mind that the Rare Candy rules will change as soon as B&W drops, so it'll take even longer to set up 2 Stage 2's without the aid of Spiritomb. If you run Emboar you only have to set him up and do without Tomb all together.

Thank you for the advice. I think I'll try Typhlosion for a while, but my original idea was to use Emboar. I'll test both. The extra Ninetales won't be necessary. With PETM and collector, I should have no trouble setting up both. Even if they are prized, Reshiram doesn't need two to work.

I run this deck but with Charizard. however as soon as reshiram comes out I'm definitely switching to this.

I took out seeker from mine but with reshiram being a basic, it is possible to donk. I agree with Flame Master about the changes. for this kind of deck, Emboar's ability would be much better but with the draw power and fisherman, you probably won't have a problem getting the second energy needed (after typhlosion's after burner) to power up blue flame. I heard Emboar won't be printed in america with his ability but hopefully that wasn't true. because with emboar's ability, I'd definitely suggest him over typhlosion for the fact that you don't have to hurt your own pokemon. Outrage is nice but not something you want to purposefully build up, if you know what I mean.

not compeltely sure if a 3-3 ninetails would be good because I run a 2-2 and I get ninetails out within 2-4 turns no matter how horrible my first hand is. One time I somehow got all energies and two basics (I only run 15 energies total lol) but by the 4th turn I had ninetails set up with charizard and was in the process of typhlosion getting up.

I'd also definitely suggest getting rid of burned tower, especially if you stick with typhlosion. typhlosion will cycle back the energy you need, and fisherman will help a lot with that as well. I also suggest running a 2-1-2 line for typhlosion with the rare candy.

So my suggestion is:
-2 burned tower
-1 quilava
+1 Fisherman
+1 twins
+1 rare candy

Okey dokey. I'll take these into consideration. Thank you!
