This is a theory of mine concerning Reshiram and Zekrom, and pretty much the new CoroCoro scans helped it out. My theory is:

Reshiram represents Natural forces, while Zekrom represents technological forces (basically the opposite of nature) My reasons (it may sound dumb):

1. Their appearance: The way Reshiram looks reminds me of Nature, how it just flows with its fur, While Zekrom reminds me of a robot, which is manmade. Seriously, I saw no fur.

2. The new Black and White trailer shown after Phantom Champion Zoroark:
I saw the scans for the trailer when I saw Reshiram and it's fire (NATURAL) tail. Then after you see Zekrom generating electricity (man-made) with it's tail.

3. New CoroCoro scans showing 'Black City' and 'White Forest':
In the new CoroCoro scans we saw what Black City and White Forest looked like, and just how they look reminded me of their forces. Black City looks very futuristic, like a bunch of magnemite and other robo-pokemon could be there. Then we see White Forest, Which looks very Natural, looks like a lot of animals could be there.

I dont know, this is just a theory.

And now, where do you think Black City and White Forest are located? I think White Forest is the tornado-looking thing in the center of Isshu. Idk, they both look swirly :p.

Black City is probably in that Times Square place

Electricity could also be Natural: Lightning. :D

Yes, lightning is natural, however, it cannot be immediately directed into electricity. It needs to be tampered with to become so, therefore electricity=manmade.

I like your thinking...
It also ties in with the yin & yang thing, doesn't it?
Another random note: I think that Reshiram (white) is the mascot for Pokemon Black, and Zekrom (Black) is the mascot for pokemon white, could be a reference to the yin & yang symbol; the white part has a black dot and vice-versa.

The theory is pretty good. I can see White Forest being in White and Black City being in Black even though the mascots may say otherwise. Reason being is because I think that the games mascot will visit these places (Reshiram to Black City and Zekrom to White Forest) because it is different to what they are like so they will attack these locations...

Just trying to add a little more to what you said...

Wow. You just made this theory a hellalot better o . o

Thanks. Haha

It just makes sense to me. Though it could be something far different. Only time will reveal the answers.

I think... I think that while nature and technology may not be the basis of the duo's clash, it'll still play an integral role in encountering either of the mascots.

I just can't see how a FOREST could connect a Pokémon of FLAMES to a nature theme, like some have speculated. The irony of the supposition would actually make me think that Reshiram would be destroying the forest rather than nesting there. And perhaps Zekrom likewise is causing harm to Black City?

This would of course mean that you'd be able to find and capture both Reshiram and Zekrom, akin to Ho-oh and Lugia in the Gen II games, GSC. Depending on which game you have you'll encounter one legend before the other? Honestly, this is more of a hope than a theory, because I'm annoyed by the seperation of the mascots ever sine Gen III (despite how ugly Palkia was).

Yeah, I have a feeling that it involves humankind's impact on nature and pokemon.

The giant city eating into the landscape versus the ruined city absorbed by the desert. Human creations that work with nature (the windmills) versus human creations that don't (the factory, the airport, the possible mining near the blast furnace area).

People can be either for the growth in technology or for leaving nature intact. Neither goal is overly right or wrong, but both cause problems for the other. I would imagine Zekrom to be for the humans (providing electricity for the cities) and Reshiram to be for nature (providing heat and warmth for plant-life, etc.)

Great theory, I do beleive its a great idea. Reshiram trying to destroy all the manmade stuff like buildings and such. And Zekrom destroying all the natural stuff.

Id like to beleive that the respective places (black city/white forest) are destroyed. And you have to calm it down.

It would make sense each other to want to destroy the other habitats. But yup, only time will tell.

Maybe the plane takes u to Black city/ White forest because they don't want u to see them on the map?

And thats a great idea! I was wondering what the airplanes for, and why i dont see either of the areas on the map! cool!

Not to sound rude but you never really posted a theory, only observations of the information that has been spread over the internet from the past 2-3 months.

The idea of nature vs. technology has been a recurring thought on these forums, so that isn't too new. However it is a nice observation nonetheless.

I like your theory a lot.But about that tornado-looking thing I dont agree. In the main page it is said that there is a new "High Link" feature that is reminiscent of the rescues in the Mystery Dungeon games. You can take on missions from a building in the middle of Isshu to help players who are in trouble.
