Hello. does resistance apply, if your pokemon is dual type? for example i am using a Mega Gardevoir-EX (steam siege, fairy/psychic) and my opponent is a Darkrai-EX (breakpoint). Darkrai has -20 resistence on psychic type pokemon.....So does my mega gardevoir attack affected by resistance? since it is also fairy type, does this attack hit for full damage? any help appreciated. thanks.

You get the good and bad when using a dual type. What I mean is that you now have two types that you can hopefully hit for weakness on, but you also have two types that could hit for resistance. In your specific example, Darkrai would take 20 less from the resistance. Since Darkrai isn't affected specially from Fairy you can pretty much ignore that typing when attacking.

When attacking with dual types, you do this:

1. Check for Weaknesses. If it's weak to both types (like a lot of old cards), you apply both (as in, 4x instead of 2x the damage).
2. Check for Resistances. If it resists both types (again, old cards), the Resistances stack.

In this case, Darkrai is not weak to either Fairy or Psychic, so no Weakness is applied; and then it resists Psychic, so you reduce 20 damage.
