Restrictions on League Play?

I don't know if everywhere does this, but on the League card, you get to play by the rules of the league to get the card ticked off towards the promos.

For example, for Snivy League, the restriction is that when you knock out an opponents pokemon, you flip 3 coins. for each heads, you may draw a card.

For the next league, Tepig League (tepig season?), when you attack, you may discard two cards from your hand. if you do, you deal 20 more damage.

How long have these restrictions been about? Also, does anyone know what the restrictions for the previous seasons have been?

I don't think there have been previous restrictions... Do you have a picture of the league card so people can see what it says?

I don't. I gave it to my League leader after we completed league... but there are low quality pictures up on bulbapedia

That's an old one, though; I think. I can't make out what it says; something about discarding a number of cards from your hand during your turn and then switching your active pokemon with your bench? It's very low quality...

Yeah, I think its just optional and most people don't do it or don't even know about it

The extra rules are optional, but if you do them then the league leader is supposed to give you an extra stamp once a week for it. At least that's how it worked during the last few cards.

Back in the Battle Frontier Cycle, there were crazy restrictions like that.

Discarding a card after using a Supporter and such, and you only get a sticker.

Back in the DP season, they had those, except no benefits for you whatsoever. Like, "Your opponent may draw 2 cards instead of one at the start of their turn.", or "All of your Pokemon's attacks do 10 less damage." Whenever you lost, under those rules, you would get one stamp in a special row, if you won, two, and if you filled up the row, you got some holo Energy of a certain type.
