what do you guys think?
i think with black and white coming soon and the 3ds, with built in cameras. it could be really good if the made it recognise cards by looking at them then when you do it does something cool in game. like make that pokemon more common in wild. or learn moves. or i dunno some cool features.
i think this would also make pokemon cards a bit more popular again (only among the video game players) and more usefull.

This is an interesting thought, I hate the E-Cards format though so I hope that they don't remake them. I totally could see this happening and I wouldn't mind it that much, very good thinking it is very plausible.

I dont like the look of the E-cards at all, but some of the artwork on the cards were awesome. Maybe if they make it look better more sleek for e-cards id like em more.

Also i think it could make it somewhat more popular if it integrated with the games somehow, like maybe if you wanted a squirtle in BW but there is none or extremely hard to find just swipe ur e-card squirtle and youll have it...maybe its to extreme but its a thought.

Scanning cards to get Pokemon wouldn't work. It'd be far too easily abused. Someone could just lend out their best card to give it to everyone and have them blitz the games. If they scanned into games, they would give fairly minor stuff, like contest accessories, box wallpapers, etc. Still, that in itself is a cool idea.

You would probably have to pay like 50 bucks just for a scanner that would make the game no fun. I don't think it would be one of PUSA's best ideas.

I doubt the 3DS camera would have a camera that could support something like that.

E-Reader cards were popular in Japan but did poorly overseas. If they did do something like this I doubt it'd see international release due to the failure the E-Reader cards were.

I wish this could happen, but I dunno if Nintendo could make this a reality.

Haha, I still have my old E-Reader. :p It was annoying because you had to get tons of E cards to actually do something, and most of 'em were PokeDex entries...

I think it would turn some people away from the game. Alot of people stopped playing when they started making those stupid looking e-reader cards.

^ I was one of those people. When they came out with e-reader, I said bye bye Pokemon and went to Yu-Gi-Oh for a few years.
