Returning after 2 years

Hi guys, after a 2 year absence from the game, I'm starting to pick it up again. I have a few quick questions about the game right now.

1. What are some of the most played decks in the format?

2. Have there been any major rule changes?

3. I have about $150 to spend right now. How should I spend it?

1. What are some of the most played decks in the format?

There are quite a lot, I recommend just reading some articles and searching around the internet because there are a lot of options rn. Also, going rogue is always an option.

2. Have there been any major rule changes?

Person going first can't attack on their first turn.
Pokemon Catcher requires a coin flip.
Flip the coin for who goes first at the beginning of the game BEFORE anyhone sets up. Whoever wins gets to choose who goes first.

3. I have about $150 to spend right now. How should I spend it?

Find a deck you want to play, play test it a bit online. Then, ask for some help (such as posting it in the deck list help thread here on Pokebeach) and such and after a week or two, start buying some singles. Hope I helped.

Several good decks will fit in your price range. it depends on how you like to play and how competitve you want to be.
