are there any cards i should be picking up for the next rotation? i played during the luxchomp/jumpluff era, but i sold my stuff. so im starting over. any help would be greatly appreciated. i know the metagame hasn't been set in stone, but are there any good places to start?

Cards that would be worth picking up would be Professor Oak's New Theory, Pokemon Collector, Pokemon Communication and Judge. It might be wise to invest in some Pokeballs too, in case they end up seeing play. As for decks that are currently being hyped, Donphan Prime, Reshiram with Emboar, Zekrom with Pachirishu and Shaymin UL, Stuff with Ampharos Prime, Blastoise UL Feraligatr Prime, Kingdra Prime, Yanmega Prime, Magnezone Emboar, Lostgar. That is all I can think of off the top of my head.

like individual cards? DCEs are still useful. B/W set is a good set to buy. Good T/S/S are: Oaks new theory, Elms training method, Professor Juniper, Plus Powers, Super scoop ups, Junk arms, pokemon collector, pokemon communication, stuff like those. Good deck atm are Reshiram and Emboar, both from B/W. a lot of deck, after the new format, are gonna be focusing on high trainer support.

Edit: yea, guy above me said a good amount of what is good. Dual balls are becoming useful. Basically any decks now revolve around stage one or strong basics that can set up quickly and hit for a lot.

emboars, DCE, Pokemon communications, Professor juniper's, but other than that and what was said^, i'm not too sure because we still don't know how the next format will turn out and if the expected top tier decks will be top tier.

Got to wait and see. I mean many thought gengar prime/lost world would rule....

I would try a Reshiram/Emboar (ability) or Reshiram/Typsholsion prime. Zekrom/Pachirisu call of legends/Shaymin unleashed will be a good deck too. But if your looking for an easy to build/not expensive deck I would recomend Jumpluff HGSS/Cinccino BW.

thanks for the quick responses, ive been hearing alot about emboar...is that pretty expensive deck to build? i guess im looking for a bunch of staples that can pretty much be splashed into almost any deck if need be.

thanks again guys <3

emboar isn't that costly, promo reshirams are kinda cheap, but emboar is like a $15 card atm. or $12... not sure. then you have to get energy returners, Plus powers, fire energy, promo shuckle (or ninetales) or neither like how i run it :) and you need interviewers questions and other stuff. If you PM me, i can give you my reshiram list, because i don't want to post it on here, It's a secret and it's not like any on here already (and it's cheaper XD )

a deck that is shaping up to be EXTREMELY good in the next format for me is blastgatr. this consists of feraligatr prime and blastoise from UL. its a very good deck (ive been trying it on redshark....im in love). its relatively cheap also.

best possible theory deck.
lostgar still
reshiram and zekrom
emboar
magnezone variants
machamp prime donphan

the thing is, with the new modified format we only have japan's equivalant of 4 sets
so anything can go

Mew Prime
gengar prime
Lost World
Ability Emboar
REshiram
Zekrom
Pachirisu CL
All are great investments

Or you can replace Feraligatr Prime with Floatzel UL, which doesn't require a second Stage 2, has free retreat (which will be important since we're basically getting a Gust of Wind reprint in our next set), and is much cheaper.

hm that is very possible. i keep thinking that it only works when you put it down but you can use it when ever cant you...added to my deck.
