Reuniclus in a Vileplume-less meta

Reuniclus has always been a close favorite pokemon of mine (recently pulled the sr from my drx box) but without the trainer lock that doesn't involve putting yourself against an army of mewtwos, I fear for my little jelly friend.

He gets hurt badly by catcher/KO's, Raikou can just insta snipe, weak to Mewtwo/Mew and the problems go on and on.

So where is his place in bw-on? is there one? I imagine attackers like Regigigas plus some Zekrom/Reshiram/Kyurem outrage shenanigans would be standard and a large cloak to bump him up to 110 hp puts him just out of Raikou KO range, but then tool scrapper is super everywhere. As well as without the trainer lock, the 4 catchers everyone runs has Reuniclus' name on at least one of them. I'm not sure that his low life is such a downside, people do run Altaria, (though altaria sets up a little faster do to dragon call and being a stage 1, for reuniclus to be that fast you need a rare candy and 2 level balls)

So what do you guys think? Can he still be worked into this non-bench tech friendly format?

reuniclus is dead :( R.I.P.
stage 2 with no protection from catcher is the biggest problem, maybe if hes ability was in a stage 1 or basic itd be playable

IMO his biggest flaw is having 90 HP. If he had more, he'd be safe from OHKOs from Darkrai and Raikou, two widely used cards in this format. Giant Cape doesn't make a huge difference on Reuniclus because most other stuff that can do 90 does 110+. (including Zekrom, Hydreigon, Shaymin-EX, etc.) Don't get me wrong, it helps against certain decks, but those decks also mostly run Tool Scrapper, so it's all kinda pointless. I'm working on a Serperior/Reuniclus/Darkrai deck for fun and I think it could get the Stage 2s out fairly quickly with my list. It's not a meta deck or anything, just a fun league deck.

That is, unless by some miracle the deck is legitimately good. :p

It might have had a chance if Solosis had 40+ hp and Reuniclus had 110+. As it is, the current numbers are just awful and probably the worst hp numbers in the format.

Unless we obtain another card similar to Vileplume in the future, Reuniclus is dead. The entire evolution has incredibly low HP. Darkrai can pull of easy snipes on Solosis (for a OHKO) and Duosion (for a 2HKO, most likely in a way so that the Darkrai player can take more than 1 prizes in a single turn). The 90 HP on it means that not only it can be one-shotted by Night Spear from a Pokemon Catcher, it can also be easily sniped for a KO by Raikou EX. Heck, I don't even know Reuniclus will see the day of light now because of Raikou. Ever since Kevin Nance took 2nd with Zekeels using Raikou, people have added the card to all of their Zekeels decks, and we know Zekeels doesn't change much from the rotation (only losing Smeargle, Shaymin, PONT, Junk Arm, and Dual Ball), so it will still be a huge deck. Even if you played Reuniclus with some form of trainer lock, Raikou can still easily go for the KO.

In order for Reuniclus to be good again, you will need a card that effectively trainer locks from the bench and a Pokemon who prevents any sniping to the bench (similar to Manectric from Platinum). It might take up bench space, but I think that this will be the only way Reuniclus could be played again.

You absolutely need to play Big Cloaks and pray your opponent whiffs Scrappers when he's ready to Night Spear. The idea of Reuniclus is to deny prizes, right? Play Klingklang or Hydreigon instead! They do the same thing, deny prizes, and are just better.
