Rogue Deck? Electivire Smoochum Spread (HGSS on)

So I was looking through my cards the other day and randomly came up with this idea. I'd like to call it new because I've never seen anyone use it before and google also didn't return anything similar. However I'm sure there are people playing a deck similar to this because the idea is so straight forward, and I think it's quite effective (of course, until someone proves me wrong).

The deck is HGSS on, so which set the cards are from should be quite obvious. So lets begin. We have:

4-4 Electivire Triumphant
4 Smoochum HS

4 Pokemon Collector
4 Pokemon Communication
4 Switch
3 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Interviewer's Question
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Fisherman
2 Black Belt
2 Twins

13 Electric Energies

Total 50 cards.

The strategy:

Smoochums: Game starters, move energies around to disrupt and wall. Make sure that the opponent's energy cards are spread out amongst the pokemon.

Electivire: Once the Smoochums have done their job, Electivire will use it's second attack and do up to 300 spread damage for 3 energies. Of course a more realistic number would be 150-250 damage, which is still very high.

Pokemon Collector, POTN, Elm, Interviewer and Fisherman are quite self explanitory.

Switch: In case a Electibuzz(vire) or a smoochum gets stuck in the active position.

Black Belt and Twins:
Due to the strategy of the deck we'll sacrifice a smoochum or two in the beginning, which allows us to use those two cards.

Energies: Putting 13 to meet the 50 card requirement. Could be more, or less.

I know that I don't have enough pokemon, that's the part I need the most help with. I have no idea what other Pokemon to put into the deck. Some of my ideas are Aipom UL, or other pokemon that have similar effect as smoochum to improve consistency. My other ideas include Entei-Raikou Legend, Rotom UD, but none of these cards have very good of synergy with my deck. So please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

First of all, it might be nice to specify for those who don't know the card that it isn't 150-300 damage on one target, but 50 damage to multiple targets. Second, decks have 60 cards, not 50.

I wouldn't run 4 switch, even though electivire has 3RC because it could lead to some dead draws. Possibly add in some Pachirisu CoL and Shaymin UL for a quicker setup since it will take at least 3 turns to get the electric energy on Electivire without any aid. Also, Rotom UD isn't a bad addition to the deck between its power and attack. As long as you can move around the energy efficiently with Smoochum, you could have the option to snipe-nuke instead of spread if you need (ie against something with Nidoqueen, Serperior (ability), Reuniclus, etc as techs could nullify your spread). Also, if you add in Alph Lithograph (4), you could use Rotom's poke-power to get something out of your prize if you need – like a shaymin or pachirisu if both are prized.

-2 Switch (12 spots open)
+2 Pachirisu (10 spots open)
+2 Shaymin (8 spots open)
+2 Rotom (6 spots open)
+2 Alph Lithograph (4) (4 spots open)
+2 Juniper's (2 spot open)
+2 Dual Ball

Take all this advice with a grain of salt, since I'm no expert, but I can't really see anything else to put in here. You've already almost maxed out most search cards and the only 2 lines you REALLY need (electivire and smoochum), so I'm not sure how to make it more consistent. This idea has already been brought up once before, either here or in the sandbox, so you might be able to find some more info on that post.

Rotom or Entei-Raikou legend could be very strong assets in improving your overall damage, as E-RL will help with your spread scheme. (Remembering of course, that it will knock out your Smoochums.)

-3 Electric Energy
-2 Fisherman
-2 Elm's

+3 Rainbow Energy
+2-2 Entei Raikou Legend.
+2 Alph Lithograph
+2 Pachirisu
+2 Shaymin
+4 Rotom Undaunted

Could help you with options, spread, and overall consistency.

aha! i saw this about a month ago!!!!! http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=96395 i like this combo alot too

Bring up my post!

Thanks for all of the advice guys, I now have rotoms in my deck. I'm still thinking about ERL because in the HGSS on format you dont get as many easy targets like Uxie Azelf Mesprit etc. Still looking for more suggestions. Thanks again!

Why would ERL knock out Smoochums? Only damages Pokemone with Powers, not Bodies.
