So I was looking through my cards the other day and randomly came up with this idea. I'd like to call it new because I've never seen anyone use it before and google also didn't return anything similar. However I'm sure there are people playing a deck similar to this because the idea is so straight forward, and I think it's quite effective (of course, until someone proves me wrong).
The deck is HGSS on, so which set the cards are from should be quite obvious. So lets begin. We have:
4-4 Electivire Triumphant
4 Smoochum HS
4 Pokemon Collector
4 Pokemon Communication
4 Switch
3 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Interviewer's Question
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Fisherman
2 Black Belt
2 Twins
13 Electric Energies
Total 50 cards.
The strategy:
Smoochums: Game starters, move energies around to disrupt and wall. Make sure that the opponent's energy cards are spread out amongst the pokemon.
Electivire: Once the Smoochums have done their job, Electivire will use it's second attack and do up to 300 spread damage for 3 energies. Of course a more realistic number would be 150-250 damage, which is still very high.
Pokemon Collector, POTN, Elm, Interviewer and Fisherman are quite self explanitory.
Switch: In case a Electibuzz(vire) or a smoochum gets stuck in the active position.
Black Belt and Twins: Due to the strategy of the deck we'll sacrifice a smoochum or two in the beginning, which allows us to use those two cards.
Energies: Putting 13 to meet the 50 card requirement. Could be more, or less.
I know that I don't have enough pokemon, that's the part I need the most help with. I have no idea what other Pokemon to put into the deck. Some of my ideas are Aipom UL, or other pokemon that have similar effect as smoochum to improve consistency. My other ideas include Entei-Raikou Legend, Rotom UD, but none of these cards have very good of synergy with my deck. So please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
