Ruling Roserade UL

I've been hearing that if you use rainbow or multi energy on roserade you can confuse and poison their active poke. But on those cards it says it only counts as 1 energy at a time. So, do I get to poison and confuse? Or do I pick one?

If you attach a Rainbow or Multi Energy to Roserade, the opponent's Active Pokemon becomes confused and poisoned, since they provide both {G} and {P} energy when attached. (Multi Energy won't work if other Special Energy cards are attached, though.)

Adding: The "only counts as 1 energy at a time" refers to it is still only providing 1 energy card at a time.
