Ruling safe guard

Deoxys ex Speed, anything that ignores Poke-Bodies.

Otherwise, as far as shutting off Safeguard, you can put an Energy Root on it...

Space Centre gets rid of Shuckle's 'safeguard'.

Apart from that, Latias and Latios from Phantom are going to become very popular. Not only do they shut off Scizor ex, Arcanine ex and Dustox ex but they stop alot of other good things too. Shutting off evolved pokemon's poke-bodies is just crazy, and it gives a massive advantage for the game to exceed in more wacky combos, instead of being cramped around being stopped by Scizor, Arcanine or Dustox.

SHUT OFF OR IGNORE-BODYS ATTACKS.

THE OTHER COUNTERS:

Wobbuffet:Space center
Ninetales:lati@s
Dewgong:Forretress UF(200 to it)
Altaria:Linoone RS or UNOWN X
Dustox ex:Charizard ex(400 damage)
Banette MC:Dark pokémon or Darkness type

There are only four cards in the current Modified format that have the Safeguard Poké-Body: Altaria from Deoxys, Dewgong from FRLG, Ninetales from Hidden Legends, and Dustox ex.

Feraligatr ex and Medicham ex don't care about the first three, since Overpowering Fang and Wise Aura both do the same thing. Each of their Poké-Bodies shuts down Safeguard, rendering it useless.

Dustox ex is another matter, since there is no card that can shut Safeguard off (well, besides Goop Gas Attack, which is beyond illegal). For him, I use Mr. Mime Ditto, which can OHKO Dustox ex with Silver Wind. Mew ex works in the same way. It does have 30 more HP and that neat little Poké-Body. Against a fresh Dustox ex, he can't OHKO it, which is fantastic.

Then again, you might not consider Ditto or Mew ex a counter for Safeguard since they really are only supposed to come out specifically if Dustox ex is on the field.

As far as everyone else goes, you can shut down Altaria's Safeguard using Battle Frontier (like anyone plays Altaria anyway). For everyone else, all you can do is hope they attach Energy Root to whatever's got it.

If they re-released Goop Gas Attack, we'd have so much fun with it. :D

Why didn't anyone mention feraligatr ex?:)
As long as feraligatr ex is your active pokemone, each players pokemon(exlucing pokemon ex) can't use any pokepower or pokebodys.

I know it doesnt stop dustox ex, but it does stop a lot of other decks.

question what if your opponent has latios hp and latias hp in play, and you evolve your active croconaw into a feraligatr ex, who's poke-body stops worinking then?

bye

I would guess it would be whoever had their pokemon out 1st. I'm not really sure on that to tell the truth. Seeing as they each shut off each other then it would be whoever was in play with the power working before the other one.

I checked the pokebody and it says: excluding pokemon ex!
Guess that makes a lot clear, maybe this card won't be that popular after all..

bye

Overpowering Fang shuts off everything. That's why it "overpowers." It's just like Medicham ex's Wise Aura. If you aren't Pokémon-ex, your Poké-Powers and Poké-Bodies do jack squat.

It doesnt matter now anyway since they worded Latios to say 'excluding pokemon-ex' which makes it pretty useless now. If it included Ex's then it would actually be great to play since it's anti-dustox's safeguard.
