• When creating a thread in the Deck Garage, make sure that you post one deck per thread, you use the correct prefix, you have the set name/card number next to each card, you give a strategy for non-metagame decks, and give translations for all cards not available in English.

    When posting in a thread, be sure to explain all your suggestions thoroughly. Additionally, do not ask for advice in another member's thread.

I am new too Pokemon. I usually play MTG, but recently a friend introduced me too the game so I figured why not build something from scratch instead of building off of a pre-con, and this is what I came up with. Please help if you can or just let me know if this idea is just a bad one.

4-3-3 Machamp (Prime)
4-3-3 Samurott (Armor Shell) Oshawott (27/114), Dewott (30/114)
4- Tyrogue (HGSS)

Fighting- 4

Double Colorless Energy (DCE)- 4

- Strategy:
The basic strategy of this deck is to use Tyrogue as a wall while I set up an early Samurott to take care of the light work early game. After Samurott takes enough hits send in Machamp with switch and finish them off.
 
Machamp doesn't go that well with Samurott since you have no way of getting damage onto your bench to power up Champ Buster. I'd add in some Donphan, wich comboes well with both of those pokemon.

-1-1-0 Machamp Prime a 3-2-3 line is better
-2-2-1 Samurott Ability this is better as a tech to help in the mirror match or against fire decks
-3 Tyrogue this is not a card you want to open with, its to fish out to donk cleffas, never is more than 1 good
-4 Dual Ball you already have maxed collector so this is unnecessary
-2 Switch with Machamp having Fighting Tag you don't need this
-4 Energy Seach again, nopoint in using this instead of more energy
-2 Professor Juniper this deck had zero recovery so PONT is better
-4 Water Energy with Samurott as a tech this is unneeded

+3-3 Donphan Prime thhis gives you synergy with Machamp by powering Champ Buster, or you can use it with Samurott to tank a ton of hits
+2 Manaphy a good starter that can take a few hits from earthquake recoil
+4 Rare Candy to get out Machamp and Samurott faster
+2 Professor Oak's New Theory more hand refresh
+4 Junk Arm staple card
+4 PlusPower lets you adjust damage to hit stronger targets
+4 Fighting Energy needed with Machamp and Donphan
