Ruling Sand Reset ruling

Its a good thing too. It would make for a really slow game if you could use it ever turn. It would be down to who had the best one energy attack.

I actually need some help with this just to shed some light on some of the disputes i've recently had with my friends about this cards power. Does it really take back whatever is in your discard pile, and in the lost zone back into the deck and is that even considered "In play"? As for the actual pokemon out on the field, are the trainer cards and energy shuffled back as well, excluding the pokemon and supporters? What about the supporters in the discard pile/Lost zone? Any real clarrification of this will really help me out to solve this little dispute. Please and thank you.

NOTHING from the discard/lost zone is considered "in play". Sand Reset only affects:
~Energy cards
~Tools
~TM's
All have to be on the playing field.
That's about it.

Would hippodown also take the supporter thats beside your active, after playing it, back into the deck as well?

I want to add that if it gets Power Sprayed or Power Canceled, you may not use it again on the following turn. That is a ruling that has been added to the compendium.

Well of course you couldn't use it again...
Power Spray says it counts as the Power being used...

what if it is killed then brought back from the discard pile premiere ball or pokemon rescue. When it is replayed can you use Sand Reset again?

No, as you can only use Sand Reset once during the whole game. Even if your opponent uses Sand Reset, you may not use Sand Reset, as it has been used once in the game already.

Hippowdon LV.X Poke-Power Sand Reset: said:
Once during a game, (before you attack), each player shuffles all cards in play (excluding Pokemon and Supporter cards) into his or her deck. You can't use more than 1 Sand Reset Poke-Power each game
You may use the power once and your opponent may use it once if they have their own Hippowdon LV.X.
