would Sceptiles body affect Manetric? because there is an erreta?

Me and Kingdra Swarm were told that you can by our TO.

umm, i think maybe but then again no because its says only on grass pokemon...

(Poke-BODY) Wild Growth
Each basic [Grass] Energy card attached to your [Grass] Pokemon provides 2 [Grass] Energy instead. You can't use more than 1 Wild Growth Poke-Body each turn.

Manectric got an errata, but he's still Electric. Sceptile does nothing for him.

ohh ok i know the effect its just we had a judge come to us and said that it counted for non-grass too

*facepalm*

I could have sworn basic reading comprehension was a requirement for being a judge. I guess they gave me the hard version of the Professor test.

OUr TO is the Judge adn he also told us that if you have an evolved Kricketune in play and no bench that concerto would do 60 because there is a Kricketot underneath...sigh...

Back to topic... the situation came up last sat adn he told most of the people there...

If you play Pory-Z and discard a grass energy (to make it grass) and it has a grass attached to it, would sceppy's effect effect it?

Sigh indeed. Either learn the rules of the game or stop trying to act authoritative. This type of ignorance does more damage to the game than people think. What happens when these kids travel to a tournament with real prizes on the line -- where the judges have a clue -- and get told they've been doing it all wrong?

My local PTO doesn't really know the rules, either, but he also doesn't pretend to. He always diverts gameplay questions to his judges -- the people that know how to play.

Sure. Sceptile's Body performs a continuous check on each of your Pokemon: "Is this a Grass Pokemon? If yes, then each Basic Grass Energy attached provides 2." If a Pokemon changes one of its properties in the middle of your turn, a continuous check will catch that and place effects as appropriate (or remove effects if a Pokemon no longer matches the condition).

This fact was the whole basis of the Blissey/Darkrai/Weavile combo that floated around for a while. For those not in the know: Dark Energy on Blissey, Weavile's Power changes Blissey to Dark type, which then gives her the benefit of Darkrai's Body. Special Dark Energy would also activate its added effect in this case as well.
