Ruling Seeker donk?

Say I had an active and a benched Pokémon with a Seeker in my hand. My opponent only has an active Pokémon out in play. If it were my turn and I had played the Seeker will my opponent be forced to pick up his only Pokémon causing me to automatically win because he has no other Pokémon out in play, or does this card have an exception so he doesn't have to pick up his last Pokémon?

Read the card text - Seeker says that each player picks up 1 Benched Pokemon. Seeker cannot force a player to pick up his/her last Pokemon in play. If a player has only an Active Pokemon, Seeker has no effect on that player.
