Hey every, its me again. This is probably my first post on the Beach after my 2011 states article, State of States: An Article on the Upcoming meta. Anyways, on to the report!

So I had been waiting for April 16th for a while. My regionals was Midwest Regionals, and I had a blast at the Dells last year, having a great time with Mr.619 and Pokeman. Anyways, this year, I was planning on having another great time. Skipping to my deck choice...

At WI states, I went and played SP. And got Judged 18 times. And got sick of SP. So I decided for a fun deck. Gyarados. On to the report?

Round 1: VS Chuck Lambert(or something like this) Vilegar.
I start Sableye, but prize two karps. I collector for Azelf, Regice, and Uxie. I have a Karp in my hand(luckily). He collectors, but doesn't grab double tomb(wtf?), so I unload on trainers, and get a Gyarados for 60, taking the Karp off of my prize. He sends up a Gengar, and Shadow Rooms my Regice for 60. I draw, discard third Karp, and hit for 90. He SR's, and KOs Regice. I'm in a bad situation. If I take the flip, and he hits heads, I'm in a bad spot. He doesn't have another Gengar out, but I have no supporter recourses to get another Gyarados out, at least in the near future. I draw, its a Collector(!). I play it, grab double bat, kill Gengar, then Tail Revenge for a 2nd prize. At this point, he has Gastly with Warp attached and Vileplume on bench. He scoops, saying I topped lucky. I guess starting Sableye and prizing 2 of the things needed to do damage is topping lucky. The deck did what it was supposed to, my B.
1-0.

Round 2: VS Rage Quit(Idk his name but...) Tangrowth/Ursaring?
He starts lone Azelf, and I start setting up. He benches Teddiursa, uses Fake Tears. I regimove, kill Azelf. He evolves, attaches double, and uses Hammer Arm. I draw. The next turn goes exactly like this:
Me: Seeker.
Him: Yep.
Me: Luxury ball for Crobat G, Flash Bite.
Him: Uh-huh.
Me: Poke-turn Crobat G, Flash Bite.
Him: Yup.
Me: Tail Revenge.
Him: All right.
He then proceeds to draw a card, and I was like "Uh...that knocks you out."
Him(exactly like this) :"Are you fudging kidding me? Thats fudging bullshit.
He picks up a pen, engraves his name on the match slip, throws the pen at me and storms off. A Judge comes over, looks at me, the slip, and him, shrugs, signs it, then walks off.
2-0.

Round 3: VS Alex(Gengar C).
I start Uxie, he donks me. My next top was Sableye. My hand would have allowed for a Gyarados swinging for 90 the next turn had I survived donk. Without Regice. We take a fun game, and I T2 his active and only pokemon, Gengar, with a belted Gyarados. Without Regice.
2-1.

Round 4: VS Some guy(Dialga.netdeck.Palkia.unoriginal.Drifblim.not creative.Jirachi.dek)
Umm so its the flippy dialga with Seeker/Drifblim win. So ummm I am taking a prize every turn, and am power locking him every turn. It comes to a turn when I am out of Seeker. So I play Super Scoop #1. Tails. #2, Tails. #3, Tails. This was all before the turn. I Junk Arm, #4, tails. #5 as well? Tails. So I run outta Seeker, and must Bebes to try and get a scoop. In my Uxie for 5, I get Seeker(4th and final), Junk Arm, and Scoop. Play Scoop #6, tails. Junk Arm, Scoop #7....tails. So I let up power lock. And he uses Dialgas power. So guess what? I flip 2 tails. SHOCKER. So I lose cause he plays Seeker, then Jirachi's a Seeker, then I draw pass, plays Seeker, and bounces Drifblim. Awesome. I love tails.
2-2.

Round 5: VS Some guy(Gyarados).
He starts Crobat and Karp. I start Bat. He draws, goes first, passes. I draw, EXPLODE, Regimove 1 Karp into the discard, belt a Gyarados, send up Gyarados, Seeker, DONK.
3-2.

Round 6: VS Machamp Vileplume.
I see its Machamp. I know I've got a great advantage. I take 4 prizes. He plays bebes. Grabs Vileplume. Oddish+Candy+Vileplume. I stop for a minute. Those rescues and junk arms I was gonna play...are useless. So I have to sack 4 prizes. BUT. I set up another Gyarados with Combee. Hit his Machamp Take out for 90. He fighting tags, and gets rid of my rescue(awesome...). I draw a Gyarados. I know there is 1 Seeker left in my 6 card deck. I top it, I win. I don't, I lose. I hit for 90, he uses Champ Buster or whatever the big attack is, and KOs me. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and draw. That one cloaked guy in front of a green background with like a pendant or something fills my vision. I play it, pick up Combee, grab Karp, evolve, retreat to Gyra, KO. He scoops. It was 1-1 prizes, holy crap dude, GG!
4-2.

Round 7: Some guy w/ Dialgachomp.
Game goes EXACTLY like this:
I start Sableye, Impersonate. He attaches Special Metal, deafens. I regimove 2 in there, he switches to Garchomp, I impersonate. He attaches double...Xs...and Claw Swipes? Umm how are you 4-2? Whatever. I go broke with trainers. I flash bite, its good. I do it again, its good. I set up, and he says ok, I start to draw, and he power sprays. Turns out he doesn't have 3 SP on field, so I draw. Get a belt(the bats were to bait sprays), attach, and KO. His field is as follows: Dialga G with 2 special metals and a belt, Sableye, Uxie and Azelf. He sends up Sableye, impersonates Cyrus. I draw, and play Seeker. He picks up Uxie. I psychic bind him. I regimove, he switches to Azelf. I KO. His field is now just Sableye and Dialga with 2 special metals, belt, AND double, as well as the X. He hits for 100. I draw, play SSU like 4 times, get 3 heads, draw like 15 cards, and get the Seeker I need. I regimove. I seeker. I KO. I win.
5-2.

Now we just wait for results...and thanks to Rage Quit(going 1-4 drop), and my opponents going like positive(4-3), with only 2 guys going 5-2, I cant make top, placing 19th. Oh well. I never got to use my special tech card >:[.

Props:
Dells.
Monks.
Cheese Curds.
Gyarados.
5-2.
google winning, go google!

Slops:

Ummm...snow?

5-2 is still a pretty good record. I heard a little bit about that one player that had attitude, but being that you actually wrote about it gets me more of what went on. I don't recall anything being written up in the penalty summer that we were going over. I feel it should've at least been written down so everyone knew about it. The player could then be monitored better.

Good job, dude!

Crobat was my nemesis, along with Cyrus. *ugh*. But there's no need to get crabby like your opponent did! I got knocked out in the first round in about 3 turns and just had to laugh!

Lol that rage quit thing made me laugh, someone did something similar to that against me in top cut at State last year. Also props on beating Chuck Lambert, I've played him before and know he is a great player. Congrats on 5-2.

@ DragonExpert: Yeah, apparently he didn't just Rage Quit against me(this was the running joke for my friends and I at the tourney), but he did against one of my other friends as well. Supposedly(just telling you what I heard), he got a warning or two. There was also a 2nd Rage Quit guy, ironically sitting next to the 1st Rage Quitter the round I played him. However, Rage #2 was hilarious, whereas #1 was all serious.

@ Vulpix Yolk: Yeah, he ended up making top, so I definitely think me going 5-2 gave him a good boost. Also, when I sat down to play him, I thought that this was THE Chuck, like, Alex Brousseau(however you spell the last name), one of the top 10 greatest players of the game. When I realized that Alex's nickname is Chuck, I calmed down a bit. I feel that if he(Chuck Lambert) didn't have such a slow start, or managed to get Double Tomb, we would have had a much more exciting game. *Shrug*. Oh well, such is life.
