Discussion Seismitoad and... Sableye?

I know this might seem crazy, but I think Sableye could be a good partner in Seismitoad decks. Imagine getting a Crushing Hammer lock getting back 2 hammers each turn. I feel adding 1-2 Saybleye in a Seismitoad deck could help, because then there are two paths to take. You could use the standard Seismitoad strategy or try to make a lock with Sableye, reusing hammers and lasers. Many people might say Bunnelby would be better, and there are pros and cons to both.

Sableye : Gets 2 items back into your hand
Only needs one energy
Has only 70 HP
You would need to run dark energy

Bunnelby: Gets any card back
Puts those cards back in your deck
Is colorless so it is splashable
Has a useful attack in burrow
Can attack twice
60 HP
Has a retreat cost of two

So I think I've covered the basics. Do you think Sableye could actually work in Seismitoad deck?

I have used it as a one-of in many of my Seismitoad/Yveltal Decks to some great success. It's particularly powerful in the hammer variant

I agree. As somebody who runs 4 Hammers and 3 Scoop Ups, Sableye would work really well in my opinion.

For a lone Seismitoad deck, meaning not one with Yveltal, I don't think it will work. You want to be primarily attacking with Seismitoad so that your opponent will stay under a constant lock. With a hand full of items, just one turn will let your opponent play most of them. Even if you use Ghetsis, the chances are they'll draw into an item to play.
