Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 38
  • 3 N (shuffle draw)
  • 2 Professor Sycamore (discard draw)
  • 2 Skyla (search)
  • 1 Lysandre (control)
  • 1 Xerosic (control)
  • 4 Rough Seas (heal)
  • 4 Ultra Ball (search)
  • 3 VS Seeker (re use)
  • 4 Trainers' Mail (search)
  • 4 Puzzle of Time (re use)
  • 2 Escape Rope (control)
  • 3 Muscle Band (strengthen)
  • 3 Fighting Fury Belt (add hp)
  • 2 Head Ringer (disable)
  • 2 Float Stone (activate ability)
Energy: 10
  • 4 DCE
  • 2 Flash Energy (Because garchomp)
  • 4 Lightning Energy
Strategy:

Just your basic toad deck, just with some spice. Incase you are new to the game, or just don't have much toad in your local meta, it goes like this. Go try to go on turn two, get a toad active, attach a dce, use quaking punch to deny items used by your opponent, win. Jolteon is used to deny damage done to it, by basics.
All criticism welcomed and appreciated :D

Vespiquen/ Vilplume will ruin this deck. The problem is you won't be able to do enough damage to Vespiquen, Jolteon's attack had no effect on Vespiquen, won't be able to setup Garbodor because of Vilplume item lock. The other issue I see is there's very little to no draw support. With only 2 sycamores, you have so many chances of running into dead hands. I'd play test this a lot and see how many dead hands you get. Look into at least 4 sycamores and maybe a Shaymin or 2.

Thanks for the help.
There isn't much vespiqueen in my local area, so I haven't played against it, especially vespiqueen vileplume, but I do know it's a good deck. On the topic of dead drawing, I think with 3 N and 2 Sycamore I should be fine, since I also have 2 Skyla so I can search out what I need, but I will test it and find out what I need to add, or take out. I was thinking about adding that one spoon card, from Xy10, but now that I'm thinking about it, there is not a whole lot that it blocks. I'll print out proxies for the cards I don't have, and fix my list on what I decide to change.

EDIT: I think that a single Flareon ex would be really nice to counter vespiqueen, because with weakness it would be a OHKO, so imo the tech of flareon would be at least one thing I would do to help with queen

A few thoughts for your consideration:

You currently have 40 Trainers listed, not 38. So, your deck is currently 2 cards over the required 60.

There are only 5 Supporters listed for hand disruption/card-draw support. This is woefully insufficient without supplemental card-draw support (e.g., Octillery or Shaymin EX). I run a minimum of 9 card-draw Supporters in most of my decks, excluding any supplemental card-draw support. Consider perusing decks in the TCG Competitive Play and/or Deck Garage to get a feel of what players use to maintain deck operations' "consistency" via card-drawing support.

You may want to incorporate an AZ or Cassius in order to recover a wounded or stranded Active Pokémon.

VS Seeker should be maxed-out, IMO.

You max damage capability is only 90 (Muscle Band'd Jolteon EX); so, you'll need to 2-3HKO opponents' Pokémon in amany cases. To better manage your KO opportunities, denying energy attachment may be quite helpful. So, incorporating some Crushing and Enhanced Hammers could be very helpful in your getting the necessary KOs within the game time constraints.

Other disruption you can inflict upon opponents besides energy removal is their hand reduction via Delinquent. Eliminating cards from an opponent's hand, as well as discarding his/her Stadium can again be helpful to better help you manage KO opportunities.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Instead of worrying about the OHKO on Vespiquen try testing with a Jirachi. He will give you the ability to hit and remove the DCE and locks the special energy play next turn which should give you the time to KO the Vespiquen or pull up a Vileplume next turn and item lock lock to prevent a float stone or switch/ escape rope.

That's a good point... Jirachi is good against any deck that runs special energy, and flareon is only good against decks that use grass pokemon. Thanks m8¡

You might want to use the new glaceon coming in xy 10 I believe to help with vespiiquen.

I did concideration that, but that would require two different energy types, and I'm not sure how viable that would be. What you could do, is have a deck with just jolteon and glaceon, and smeargle to cover the energy difference. That might actually be worth testing.
