Hiyaz! 13ulbasaur here!
All of my TCG life, I've only ever made custom Grass type decks for the sake of fun, yet since they were my only decks I always used them in premier leagues like the nationals and stuff.
Well I have now decided I must make a real competitive deck and one mainly to kick those people who use things like LuxChomp (the deck I've never beaten before!) since from what I gathered a lot of people are going to use that deck for the BR. So I decided to try and make up a deck list, but me still being me and kinda bad at these real competitive deck lists, I thought I'd come here for some advice before I start trading with others to get the cards needed. <3
Here's the list~
===============Pokemon=====
3-2-3-1 Machamp SF
1-1 Donphan Prime
2 Ambipom G
1-1-1 Nidoqueen RR
2 Uxie LA
1 Azelf
Pokemon Total: 19 Cards
===============Trainers=====
1 Luxury Ball
4 Pokemon Communication
3 Pokemon Collectors
4 Bebe's Search
1 Palmer's Contribution
3 Super Scoop Up
3 Warp Point
3 Rare Candy
2 BTS
1 Pokemon Contest Hall
1 Stark Mountain
Trainer Total: 26 Cards
===============Energies=====
2 Call Energies
6 Fighting Energies
2 DCE
Energy Total: 10 Cards
------------------------------------------------
Strategy:
Well, like any Machamp deck, you'd want to throw Machamp onto the field before the opponent evolves his or her Pokemon.
This deck's main strategy is to beat the crap out of LuxChomp since I hate that deck oh so much, but of course I'll try to beat up other SP decks as well. Ambipom is there in the situation should Machamp not be ready yet, since most people use 1 Energy Gain and 2 Energies, in most cases the Garchomp C lv X would have no energies attached to it, letting Ambipom hit for 60x2=120 damage. Or if I'm against some evolved Pokemon with a weakness to colourless.
Donphan is there to mainly attack a leveled up Luxray G, which can use Earthquake for another 60x2=120 damage. But no need to fear about the damage counters, for Nidoqueen will be there to Comfort the Pokemon with Maternal Comfort. Plus of course Nidoqueen helps to keep Machamp alive. XD Other than that, Donphan can also help to attack other Pokemon that have already evolved since it's generally quite strong.
Uxie of course for draw power and Azelf for the possible 'Pokemon in the prize cards' moment. Stark Mountain in case I need to switch energies between my Pokemon, particularly to Machamp and Donphan. Pokemon Contest Hall to grab Pokemon in the case I would need help. DCE to help with Machamp Lv X and Ambipom G.
Uhm... any suggestions or advice? I'm still fairly new to real COMPETITIVE PLAY since I've mainly only played casual fun games. XD
Thanks everyone~
